<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Said Magic Chief Operating Officer John Weisbrod: "Sometimes, Doc has a selective memory of the past. . . . When given the choice between Ben Wallace and John Amaechi, Doc chose John Amaechi. Most every personnel move decision that was made was because Doc was in favor of it, or in many cases, pushing it."

    Doc now disputes Weisbrod's claim.

"That's not accurate," he said. ". . . I wanted to keep Ben Wallace, and John Amaechi was never an issue. The Ben Wallace thing keeps coming up; it has a life of its own. It's over. There's nothing we can do about it now.

"There's enough blame to go around for all of us," Doc conceded. "I made some mistakes, but I think I've learned from those mistakes and I hope to be a better coach this time around. But let me tell you this: I never made a mistake on purpose. Everything I did was trying to make this franchise better."</div>

Personally I think Doc is lying. He even tried to take attention off his own comments:
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"That's not accurate," he said. ". . . I wanted to keep Ben Wallace, and John Amaechi was never an issue. The Ben Wallace thing keeps coming up; it has a life of its own. It's over. There's nothing we can do about it now.</div>If it was over he would not have brought it up in the first place with the media. If it's over than why bother rehashing with the press?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"There's enough blame to go around for all of us," Doc conceded. "I made some mistakes, but I think I've learned from those mistakes and I hope to be a better coach this time around. But let me tell you this: I never made a mistake on purpose. Everything I did was trying to make this franchise better." </div>Could one of those mistake's be the fact that he let Ben Wallace go and not John Amaechi? He brings up the fact that he never makes mistakes on purpose but really...who makes mistakes on purpose in the first place??

I really do not believe a word this guy is spewing.
