Unreal!!! JamesOn Curry commits to oklahoma state!!! This is awesome. Curry, N Carolina's all time leading high school scorer, who got pinched along w/ 50 kids from his school in a marijuana bust, lost his UNC scholarship, and will now play in an awesome lineup along side John Lucas III (who hosted his recent visit, his dad helped quite a bit) Joey Graham, Ivan McFarlin, Marcus Dove, Daniel Bobik, Terrance Crawford.. this team will be quite a bit better than last years team...trust me on this!
Here is an actual link to a story http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=1795035 I am glad he didn't go to UNC. He has been ranked in the top 100 at most places, usually in the 70s. He is a good ballplayer, but he is also a punk. He is a damn lucky kid that he doesn't have to play at a JuCo for 2 years. He is good, but won't have as big an impact as you think it will. He can score at will.
. From what I hear from inside sources (Greg Swaim who covers OSU and runs a national scouting service thing) he will no question start and contribute a lot more than Bobik, who started last year and is returning...Sutton has done a great job w/ kids like this in the past, and the presence of John Lucas Jr. around campus will no doubt help him out if he still has problems... re: "but he is also a punk" how so?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting STCBBall3:</div><div class="quote_post">The kid sold drugs, what more do you need.</div> hmmmmm..... i dunno
The kid has the oppertunity to get someone else pay for 5 years of college and possibly make himself a very rich man through basketball and he puts it on the line to make a couple bucks pushing drugs? While he may not be a punk he is obviously two things 1. Foolish, for nearly costing himself the tens of thousands of dollars 4 years at college costs and 2. Lazy; if he needed a few bucks he should've have just gotten off the couch and gotten a job. Anyone who willingly puts such a golden oppertunity on the line hardly consists of the stuff champions are made of. THe bright side is that he is so young, teams can hope he grows up. Edit: But still an incrediblely stupid thing to do.
