<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">By Tim Buckley Deseret Morning News The agent for Nuggets center Marcus Camby has told a Denver newspaper that if Camby does not return to Denver next season, the Jazz are among a trio of teams that "could emerge as possibilities" for his client in this summer's NBA free-agency market. Camby's top choice is to stay with the Nuggets, but "Marcus wants to nail down a long-term deal," agent Rick Kaplan said in a story that appeared in Monday's Rocky Mountain News. If it's not with Denver, Kaplan cited Utah, Atlanta and Phoenix ? all expected to have ample room beneath the league's team-payroll salary cap for next season ? as possible alternate destinations.</div> Full Article: http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,595060692,00.html
If Camby is coming to Utah, Ostertag is on the way out. Utah are still rebuilding, they just did better than what most other rebuilding teams do. They are more interested in younger free agents that have a chance of breaking out, like Raja Bell did, which is why they may not make a big run at him. But considering Utah's success with signing top Free Agents last season, I wouldn't be surprised if Utah pursue Camby and possibly make a run for the playoffs even with a young team. There is a risk he gets injured, which may be the difference between an offer or not. They would be after another big man aswell, but they might be happy with whoever they draft and not sign another FA, that's if they get Camby.
camby would be a fantastic pick up for the jazz they need a good center to help out and he would increase the jazz's winning chances to more games in the year to a lot more. dont get me wrong i dont think camby can win the jazz a spot in the payoffs but he would help there side
looks like camby is not very committed to winning. he just wants cash..... jazz? well they r almost inthe playoffs.... atlanta??? they suck pheonix? bottom of the L. he certainly is not a player to give huge cash to.
if Camby went to play 4 the Suns, that would be the best move, team has a ton of potential, nice future.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting harry_balls5:</div><div class="quote_post">denver has the best future of them all....</div> No, with the front line of Amare , Marion and Camby and the back court of Joe Johnson and the european pointguard, the suns have a great team. They need a center like Camby becasue Mcdyess is too small, and they need a good point guard that will not turn the ball over like Francis. They have a good team.
Camby would be best fit if he stay's in Denver, the teams chemistry just works with him. Camby, SquirrelEarl,'Melo, Miller and all of them guys just work good together that's how the made the play offs, Camby being the backbone of the team.
