Haha, ok and I could of rested it on that retarded question on why isn't Kobe playing point guard.

Explain to me, why isn't he? And why is Francis? Because Kobe is a better scorer than a PG but Francis is a better PG than a scorer? You're pretty clueless aren't you.

You're asking me why Kobe isn't playing PG, are you serious? Well first of all he's the best shooting guard in the NBA, bar none. We basically have Jordan vs any other SG in his time, with Kobe vs any other SG in the NBA right now, and you're asking me why isn't he playing PG? Francis is playing PG because he's a pretty damn good PG, hell I'd only take Kidd, Davis, Bibby, Cassell if he were younger, and Nash if he could play decent defense, after those guys give me Francis. Even your PG list wouldn't rate Francis low enough to make a move to SG logical. Why move him and turn him into Jason Terry if he has the biggest impact at PG?

Because his impact in SG would be bigger. Even if he only has a decent PG playing with him, say a Raul Lopez or a Kirk Hinrich would do wonders for the Rockets and their turnovers. I don't know if you've ever played bball as a PG/SG, but it's hard to do it all by yourself. Especially going coast to coast on a constant basis. Also the fact that Francis holds the ball 70% of the time makes your whole team stagnant. Francis doesn't need to create all by himself, let a real PG handle the rock while Steve gets open for a better look at the basket.

I'm using Kobe as an analogy for Francis. His biggest impact would be if he plays SG, not PG, just like Kobe. Francis could easily be the best undersized SG next to Iverson. Why then would you play him at PG?

By the way, in addition to your list, I would take Marbury, Parker, Andre Miller, Arenas, hell even Wade over Francis. Arenas, Iverson, Francis, Kobe and Wade - all those guys are hybrid guards that may look like PGs but they're most effective at SG. They can deal the same, if not more, damage when they play SG, so why not bring someone in to play the PG and let them conserve their energy for defense and more potent offense.

We'll just have to disagree on where he'd make his best impact... He does not hold the ball 70% of the time, especially not this season, if you want to look at someone who approaches that number it's Marbury. Maybe someone is basketball crazy enough to keep track of something like that, I'll try and look it up.

Marbury I really don't like... Parker's fine, no argument there... Andre Miller has had problems playing with good teams and he has no 3 point range, you're a Clipper fan you should know that... Arenas? Everything you dislike about Francis is worse in him and you'd take him?! He shoots a lot, turns the ball over a lot, doesn't shoot as high of a percentage, holds the ball a lot, why? Wade? Put Wade on the Rockets this past season instead of Francis and he'll look like a bust, try putting him on a team that doesn't allow penetration and see how effective he'll be shooting jumpers all day. And if you remember Francis' rookie season he was as big of a highlight machine as Wade is now. How would we know he's most effective at SG? All those other guys you listed spent some time at SG, Francis hasn't ever played there in the NBA, he's doing fine at PG improve the SG spot and he'll be even better.

Forget everything we've said. Did you know Francis was NEVER a PG in college? He came into the league and asked the coach if he wants to play PG when he has never played PG in college, the coaches didn't tell him to play PG. Why? Is he such a brilliant/smart player that knows he's a better PG? I highly doubt it. Rudy was letting everyone do whatever the hell they wanted. Yeah it might get good highlights in sportscenter for Francis and Mobley, but both of those players are SG. Hell I'd even consider taking Mobley over Francis as a PG.

So? Everyone knew he had the ability to play both positions, right now he's an NBA point guard and he's doing fine there. The coaches didn't tell him? So he just penciled his name on the depth chart at PG or what? Even if he asked it was still the coaches decision and 2 pretty damn good coaches have put him at PG. That's just dumb he's there because his coaches put him there and because he's a pretty damn good PG. Rudy was a great coach, he let Francis and Mobely become the focus of the offense because that gave them the best chance of winning. Right, Mobely at PG, one of the worst passing shooting guards in the NBA at PG, now that's brilliant/smart.

I think that calling him a fine NBA point guard is debateable. There is no question he is a great NBA guard however calling him a great point guard is sort of out of the ordinary to me. When I think of a great NBA PG I think of a guard who can handle the basketball, run his team, execute and commit very minimal mental mistakes(such as bad passes, careless turnovers, etc.) To me Francis is a 2-guard.

You said that two great coaches put him at PG and you are absolutely correct. That however was done out of necessity. I mean with the team we had over the past few years the Rockets were pretty much forced to play him at the PG slot. If we had another capable PG though, I think you would have seen Francis play the 2-guard instead. Fact of the matter is he was the best person at the time on the Rockets team to run the point.

To me Francis is a shooting guard forced to play the point due to the fact that the Rockets don't have another player that can run the point for this team.

You know Jason Kidd isn't coming, you know Baron Davis isn't coming, niether is Mike Bibby. The only way we'll ever get any other All Star point guard is by trading Francis, so I give it very little chance of anyone else playing PG on the Rockets unless he's traded himself. He's not going to be moved even if we had a capable point guard, the only player ever moved is AI and he isn't even close him in scoring ability, it won't be worth the move. I really, really doubt you'll see Francis ever play SG, if you don't think he's a PG that's you, but I give it a 99.99999% chance that he's playing PG next season.

You know we can trade other people in the team to get a PG in return right? We don't need an All-Star PG to play along Francis. Just a decent a la Derek Fisher type of PG will do.

Keep in mind that we'd need a PG who can get the ball down to big men and is content with 7 shots a game.

Nope, won't happen. Cato isn't worth a lottery pick, and neither might Francis be.

Derek Fisher or anyone else like him are NOT taking the PG spot away from Francis, good back-up though.

Where's Charlie Ward when you need him?

Jay Williams, tho injured, is an amazing Point Guard. Him and Kirk Hinrich arent having fun down in Chicago.. Rockets should trade Mobely, Cato, get Hinrich and Tyson Chandler, then sign Jay Williams as a Free Agent. Trade Francis for a 1st round Pick, or McGrady. New Rockets Line-up: Ming, Chandler, Jackson, McGrady or Williams-depending on the trade, Hinrich.. that Line-up is very possible, yet, seems unfitting.. great players, All have the potential to be imposing defenders, and Hinrich is like all of the Barry's in one nice package -- except for the fact that he cant shoot the 3 nearly as well... and another thing, the playoff experience would kill us, and having 3 playes from Chicago isnt the greatest idea.. I'd love to see Hinrich here, and Chicago is in need of some money...

Don't forget that Hinrich can't dunk like Barry could back in his rookie (or was it sophomore) year when he won the slam dunk contest doing dunks with his warmups still on!

I can see Chicago jumping all over a Cato and Mobley for Chandler and Hinrich deal, I mean Cato and Mobley are older, aren't as good, have less potential, and get paid twice as much, why wouldn't they? Jay Williams was overrated and needs years of rehab to get back to what he once was, which was never that much to begin with. Remember when everyone said we should draft him over Yao? Or when Dick Vitale said he's the 3rd best point guard on the planet? HAHA!
