If you can keep these players over the off-season, I am excited about your teams prospects:

    1. Amare Stoudemire
    2. Shawn Marion
    3. Joe Johnson

Those are 3 guys I think PHX should try to build the rest of the team around. Amare is a man child and a big part of the future of the NBA. I'm sorry, and slightly ashamed that we traded away JJ, because he seems to be blossoming pretty well right now. Marion, well the Matrix is perhaps the most underrated star in the NBA right now.

All in all, that's a solid base to work from, IMO.

Suns should draft Ben Gordon..and sign a big man and/or a PG via free agency or trade.

    PG - Ben Gordon/Barbosa
    SG - Johnson/2nd round or trade/Ben Gordon
SF - Matrix/Signed or Trade or 2nd Round
PF - Amare/2nd round or Signed or Trade
C - Signed/trade(Mark Blount or 2nd round big chinese guy or pete Ramos)/Voshkul

I don't like that Idea, I think we should sign a center, I meanr we have Barbosa, and now Vujanic coming in, Barbosa will gain experience (hopefully), and Milos can be a pretty decent PG, no need to have 3 young pG's on the team.
All I can say is the future is the Suns, the Wizards, and Golden State ( :P )

I was excited about the suns this year. I mean the only reason they sucked was because they're all young, and their starting PG was a rookie. I think that they have a very bright future, as long as they keep that core of Amare, The Matrix, and JJ.

I like the idea b/c barbosa still isn't a playmaker, Vujanic isn't either(good shooter though) and Ben Gordon is a proven playmaker and can handle the rock. He's a better athlete and stronger than Vujanic with the ball. I think they really need a pg and a center so they should look for a center through free agency. THey have Amare so all they need is another big man to rebound and play solid D. That shouldn't be TOO hard, though not many teams have that in the L.

Yea I don't think the idea is bad, its just that then we'd have 3 PG's on the team, I mean we could make a trade to get rid of one, but right now Gordon also has questionable PG skills, and why not fill a spot where we have more of a need. Also you never know how well Milos will adjust, and Barbosa could improve over the summer. With improvements to players their aren't really any glaring needs except for the bench, the bench is just bad.
I think the best thing would be to draft the best player available.

I have ironclad faith that Z will pick it up and be the highlight of our bench. Dice coming back would be good. I like Casey but he doesn't put up enough shot attempts in his minutes (he has good selection and accuracy). Voskuhl off the bench would be good... Barbosa or Vujanic off the bench won't be that bad...
What do you see wrong? what would you like to change? FA? Obviously you've spoken on getting the best possible with the draft...
Hmmm... Gordon is the same size as Barbosa just about... same SG skills but not enough bulk and an inch or two short. Maybe andriuskevicius as a long term project isn't such a bad thing and just kinda staying away from making our team any younger (by leaving him in Euro awhile).
2 weeks til lottery time... we can henpeck a little better then

Can't debate the rumor wasn't there.. Just because it isn't going to happen yet doesn't mean that there weren't rumors.

    Why not man... why not.

Definitley a possibility but yea, I don't know how they'd handle the PG situation, they'll overloaded.

Any topic that is posted with a link will always stay and never get closed unless personal attacks are thrown around in the thread. Phoenix will be targetting Mcgrady in the off-season, you can count on that.

nash and camby and okur have all been rumored to be considering phoenix (check the suns forum for okur and nash). Hoppin' city for FA speculation. So Phoenix has a problem at PG and C. That we are all agreed on. We have young talent at PG and C (Barbosa and Lampe) we have incoming young talent at the same (Vujanic (not as young at 23) and Andriuskeviciuis a teenager) and we have FAs rumored to be on there way in on the same (NAsh and Camby though both want to stay at there respective teams given the opportunity) . So somebodies favorite player or prospect has got to get trampled here becuase you can only abuse the injured list so much and there is only so much cash to throw around.

Phoenix is crazy if they do this. Amare is already the McGrady of the Suns.
