I'm very happy with your playoffs performance as well as the fact that Miller has accepted his role as a sparkplug. That was very mature and smart of him. Much to my surprise also, Webber is playing well again, he just can't seem to slam it home anymore.

I'm happiest though with Christie and Bibby. They've shown "defense." That's a rarity for a all-out scoring team like the Kings. And as usual, Divac providing what he does, flops, awesome passing, veterancy. The saddest thing is that Bobby Jackson is out. He would've helped you a lot and it would've been nice to have someone so deserving as he is to win 6th man of the year. As for the rest of the playoffs, I see you going into the 3rd round. Sadly.

If you lose in the second round with the kind of regular season you had (until Webber came along) than in no way is that a good season.

The Kings were the biggest disappointment of the regular season, but are the biggest surprise in the playoffs. Good season overall.

I think that you cant really say it was a bad season if you lose to the wolves in the 2nd round. The wolves were the team with the best record in the West, they have the Home court advantage, so they had the edge coming into the series. Alot of people didnt think the kings could get pass Dallas. But they proved those critics wrong, so I would say this season has been a somewhat of a success.

Exactly...People were saying when the Kings were gonna play the Mavericks..The Kings would lose badly...Well we proved them wrong..i believe we can beat the T-Wolves,if we keep on playing the great game we have been so far in the playoff's...it's just a matter of skill and grit, and the Kings have shown that there hungry and that they wanna bring that championship to SAC-TOWN!!!

What? The Kings did not have Chris Webber for the majority of the season and they finished in the top four. The Los Angeles Lakers had Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, Gary Payton, and great role players; however, they don't even have homecourt advantage in the second round. The Kings were not a dissapointment. This is what everyone would expect for a non-Webber Kings team. To me, the biggest regular season dissapointments were the Bulls, Lakers, Nets, Blazers, and Cavaliers.

I think we've had a great season. Even if we lose to the Timberwolves, it still woulda been a great run. Like Wave said, we were minus Webber for almost the whole season and we still did it up. Webber was playing like crap and he came into the playoffs and got a triple double. We've proved the media wrong time and time again this season.

The Kings did go through their share of injuries, but you really can't compare them with other teams and their injuries. The Kings had the top record for a while with Chris Webber being out, whereas the Lakers had players in and out of their starting lineups and weren't playing well. I still believe the Kings are BETTER with Webber as I've said for a while now, but I'd have to say them going from the #1 spot to #4 once Webber came back was a disappointment.

I disagree. If your team does lose to the Timberwolves, how will it be a great run? Your owners, the Maloofs, have spent money this offseason to bring in players like Brad Miller to not only make your team better, but to make your team a legit contender for a championship. And once you lose in the second round, will the Maloofs and the Kings fans be content with that? Every team in the NBA dreams of winning a world championship, and if you fall short, it's a failure.

From that point of view..,yeah you could look at it from that point of view...But there were plenty of teams who didn't have chances like the Kings, and The Lakers did..but i consider this year a good year for the Kings, cause at least we were in the post-season...i'd consider the Kings having a sucessful season if they go all the way and win it all

The Maloofs are great owners, and hey they have done good so far with Building the Franchise well...but i feel they would be praised even more if they got Sacromento the NBA Title!!

Well, if that's how you look at things. When teams lose games, regardless of the playoffs or in the season, they look at the game and take the positive things from it and try to build on that. You're basically saying that if a team loses in the playoffs, they are a failure and their whole season goes to hell. You're thinking negatively.

You really have to backtrack and read what I'm writing. When did I ever mention in that post that if a team loses in the playoffs, they are a failure and their team goes to hell? No homie...what I'm stating is, anything short of a championship is a failure, and I'm talking about the teams that are expected to win. Examples? The Lakers, Kings, and Spurs. Do you know how many sportswriters picked the Kings to win a championship? Everybody kept saying it was their year, that they'd somehow knock off the Lakers and claim the title. But with that team down 2-1 to Minnesota, they look like they could be on the verge of losing yet another season. Point is, anything short of a championship for that team or any other team that's expected to win, is a failure. That's everybody goal from day one of the season till the time you wrap up seedings, to the first game of the NBA Finals. A chance to win a championship. No team settles for less.

Plenty of teams that didn't have chances? Give me a break. The point is, the Kings have chances. They're always the team in the regular season with the most wins, and #1 seeds, but when it comes down to the playoffs, they fall off the face of the earth. Heck, Kings fans in 2002 and beyond were talking trash to us Laker fans about how they came so close to getting to the Finals, and how the refs supposedly helped us to return to the Finals. Do you know how hungry the Maloofs are for a championship, and the players they brought in to try and achieve that goal? The Sacramento Kings and their farmer fans won't settle for less, and reality is if they somehow lose again in these playoffs, consider this 2003-04 season another failure.

Of course The Maloofs are hungry for the Title..what NBA owner isn't..and please don't put me in the catergory as i say the Lakers"bought"the game..i'm not...the Lakers won fair and square

Hey as long as the Kings make it in the playoffs...i'm ok with it!!

So how about that Gary Payton, and Karl Malone? Lakers are even in a worst spot than the kings if you wanna make that arguement.

How so? Both are down 2-1 as I'm making this post....both the Kings and Lakers would consider this a lost season if they don't win the title...

Why do you think I even came up with this statement? [IMG] Of course I realize anything short of a championship in Los Angeles is a failure. We have Payton and Malone who are hungry to be a champion for the first time in their careers, and yes Kobe and Shaq. Who have three rings going for four. We realize the task at hand, but some Kings fans here are saying if they get bounced out of the second round, then it would be a good season. [IMG]

    Whatever.
