finally a thread on Game 3! Where are you guys laker fans? They need all of our support and we're not gonna back down from the Spurs! This game is very emotional, we have to get back on track and climb the hill... we can do this all of you! Now all we gotta do is scream at home. My prediction is Lakers win this game and Game 4. My best prediction yet: Lakers in 7 games! [IMG]

3:10 left in the 1st Q: OUTSTANDING DEFENSE by the Lakers! Even George blocked a Ginobili shot... score 19-8... Gary Payton is ON FIRE I tell you! 3 pts yeah and 5 ASSISTS on the Lakers' first 8 field goals! Kobe is starting well too with 2-2 from beyond the arc. (Edit: ) What a strong finish to end the first quarter! Bryant finished with 3-3 threes with 9 points and all players collectively played a brilliant all around team game! Shaq is clearly the focus of our offense with 10 pts on 5-6 shooting. 28-16, Lakers! Three more quarters to go and we better not run out of gas in the most important quarter... remember this Lakers!

Lakers by 12 this game and the Lakers will win the series if they continue to play with energy like they are so far. Remember Lakers, they don't give out the championship, you've got to take it.

Lets go Lake Show! Great offensive adjustments made to get Payton more involved. I't like to see LA win these games at home.

Great start by the Lakers. They're fighting like [IMG] warriors right now. But they still have a ton of turnovers. But good hustle from the whole team and what away to set an example by Kobe and Shaq for diving for the ball earlier in the game.

It seems they are doubling Parker and it seems to be working.

Second Quarter: Ginobili drained a three to start the second quarter! The Spurs are trailing by double digits but they won't be "routed" by us if they keep draining threes like this to stay in the game. We gotta defend their perimeter players better. Make them take tough shots or sth. We're playing in LA, for God's sakes, ain't no way the Spurs are gonna get the calls this time. And, probably the biggest cheer on our defense is Tim Duncan is still scoreless 16 minutes into the game! [IMG]

Is anybody watching live right now? Who is guarding Tony Parker???

My prediction for the second half is the Spurs are going to go more to the inside and feed Duncan the ball many many times. The former MVP had only 2 pts after 24 minutes and Coach Pop can't be too pleased. After 11 turnovers in the first half, the Spurs will also focus on taking care of the ball better in the second. Break these two strategies and we take this game! :P

The Lakers did a good adjustment by having Payton more involved in the offence. Phil has stepped away from the triangle and gave Payton the keys to drive and its working. This at least makes Tony Parker work on both ends of the court. Kobe looks patient, Malone is playing smart basketball and the Lakers are working inside with Shaq.

Can't expect Duncan to stay silent the whole game but if they can contain him in the second half and keep on doubling Parker they will have this game in the bag. The only person I see making a difference out there for the Spurs in Manu Ginobili.

Excellent adjustments by the Lakers. Closing in on Parker, pick & rolls for GP, Malone with excellent spacing on offense, Kobe playing patiently and the Lakers all hustling...all adds up to a win.

    Can't wait for Game 4.

That's the type of game I expected the Lakers to play. They helped Gary Payton out on the pick and rolls, and Gary Payton himself turned things around completly. He had a excellent game. He scored more points then he did in the first 2 games combined. Bring on Game 4.

blowout!!!! excellent game by lakers all around, they need this kinda hustle every game....finally their offence looked a little more organized....they should continue with this for a while and see how popvich adjusts to the trangle-less offence...

Great win. The Spurs did have their chances to get back into this game. But never did while Tim just sat out for the rest of the quarter. Spurs shooting was horrific which obviously helped the Lakers blow them out. Still though, both teams freethrows was . Shaq did have 3 swishes in row from the line. Hopefully he can focus on those makes and at least get back to shooting at a .600 clip.

Wow the Spurs had 20 more FG attempts than the Lakers and L.A. still wins by 24. That's unreal.. Great game by the Lakers, Malone played some outstanding defense on Duncan tonight, and I love the way they came out agressively on both sides of the floor. Excellent game by the Lakers, keep it up.
