It's funny how you try to come in here and talk trash, when in fact your team went south last night. You're also down in the series 2-1 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. [IMG]

If you have noticed, this is a Spurs/Lakers Game 4 preview thread. Which means you as a poster, has to write your predictions for tonight's game and how it'll go. Just writing Spurs all the way shows me you're harassing us Laker fans here on the board, and trying to raise your post at the same time which will not be tolerated. BTW, read the new theme For Diehard Laker Fans Only. If you aren't a diehard Laker fan, and you're here just to trashtalk and write meaningless posts, this isn't the place for you.

Does that mean I can no longer post here? Tough, cause I'm still going to.[IMG]

Although I'm still picking the Spurs to win this series, this will be a very tough game for the Spurs to win. It will be all about adjustments. If they are able to adjust to the Lakers adjustments they will have a good shot.

I originally picked the Spurs in 5 and I'm sticking with that. Spurs by 6.

Well there are a few things Iam looking for tonight...

    1) Is Tony Parker- I never seen Tony Parker get doubled coming off screens until sunday. And he didnt handle it well at all. So it will be interesting to see how he handles the double team when he knows that it is coming. Lets see how he adjusts.

    2) With Gary Payton getting somewhat of his shooting touch back. It will be interesting to see if Phil calls GP's # a little bit more on the offensive end. Maybe let GP get Parker in a few more post up situations. If he does get the opportunity then The Spurs will have to double GP. Great Defensive teams like the Spurs usually hate to double.

    3) I think this game is just as huge for the Spurs as it is for LA imo. If Spurs lose the series will be tie at 2. And the Lakers will have all the momentum. This Lakers team is to good, not to win at least once on Spurs home floor before the series is over. Which means imo they would most likely pull out a game 5 at the SPC center. If the Spurs lose tonight I can see this series going from 2-1 Spurs to 3-2 Lakers in a heartbeat.

But as for tonights game, I think its going to depend alot on what Parker & Manu do. I know Duncan is going to come back with a huge game. But the two other parts Manu & Parker on the perimeter must bounce back. And limit turnovers.

You know what I mean Rudeezy. I'm just fed up with members that log in here saying the Spurs are gonna win the series when they can't even give facts as to why they're going to win the series. Do you know who JT The Brick is? A lot of horrible callers call his radio show all the time, and some individuals just say oh this team is going to win without saying why, and JT just hangs up on them. It's very annoying. But I know you understand where I'm coming from on this.

    LAKERS LAKERS LAKERS! [IMG]

Mind you it's only because of Payton and Malone... if not, I wouldnt give a damn.

Also, I'd like to see another Kings vs Lakers battle, and watch Kings beat'em for the first time ever.

IF Lakers win this game, I like our chances (yes I realize what happened last year)....

Hopefully Phil can counter any adjustments the Spurs make....

    Any word on Kobe?

Kobe will play tonight. If anybody thinks he's going to miss a important, critical Game 4, Spurs fans and haters are very mistaken. Plus, he plays his best when he returns from these court dates. Weird but true. [IMG]

I expect the Lakers to take the next two games, starting with tonight's game. The Lakers obviously was determined to win game 3. They were full of energy and adjusted themselves knowing that their season was on the line. If you have Shaq actually diving for a loose ball...You know they want the win real bad. But I expect things to be a little different tonight though. Like, Phil Jackson said, "Today just wasn’t their night". (He was referring to the Spurs on that comment) I feel no different. There was no way the Lakers could have beat the Spurs they way they did. The Spurs are going to come out real aggressive tonight, and give the Lakers a run for their money. Lakers by 5.

Despite what he has been doing, I wouldn't count on Kobe to have big game...Like Malone was saying, they have to go on like they don't expect kobe to come up big...Assume that he wont, and if he does, it's a bonus...I mean, how many times can this guy really do it??

For every game that he had to fly from Denver on his private jet, and returning to Los Angeles, entering the Staples Center 30 minutes before tipoff, he's always had huge games. The man has ice in his veins homie. I expect him to score at least 30-35 tonight.

Yeah that's true, but I agree it's not something anyone should be counting on. I'm not going to predict anything for tonight's game because whenever I predict the opposite always seems to happen.. I think Malone, Shaq and Gary will all be key in this game, and if they come out the way they did in game 3, this should be another very good game. GO LAKERS!

It's not going to last forever. Tonight, might the night where all that changes. I hope it dosen't. Afterall, he never played a game against the Spurs, after going from the legal court to the basketball court. And on top of that they're no longer in the season, its the Playoffs. So anything can happen. Mabye he'll score 50 or 5...

Hey it's the NBA, anything can happen. I was exaggerating with the 5 points, 15 points would do. But you never what will happen out there especially against the Spurs and possibly a fatigued and jet lag Kobe Bryant.

If you're not counting on a big game from him than who are you expecting to step up in his place? Shaq cannot do it all.

Nice all around game by the Lakers in Game 3... I expect them to continue the intensity in Game 4 and if the Lakers start strong again, they will take this game, but not without a conscious fight from the Spurs. Lakers by 5.
