This post is dedicated to the person who will save the franchise:

    [IMG] THROW IT DOWN

[IMG] Picture of Ghill breaking Williams' ankle... (crossing him over and drawing the foul)

[IMG] Will be the greatest duo since Jordan/pippen (If healthy)

For some reason..even though he screwed the magic up so badly (it wasn't his fault really)...i still don't hate him.. i got this quote from a website:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Grant Hill is also listed on my sports page as "Just like Mike...only better." But I had to include him again here because Grant is not just a basketball player. He transcends his sport. Not only is he highly skilled and gifted athletically, but he is also charismatic, funny, bright, and very handsome. The best thing about Grant is that he is genuine. His "image" is not just an image. He is this way all of the time. This is why he is so adored by fans (namely me) and why he was the top vote-getter for the NBA All-Star game two years in a row.

    Other facts about Grant:
Obtained a B.A. in History from Duke University
    Is an avid piano player.
Has guest-starred on the t.v. sitcom "Living Single" and in commercials for McDonald's, Sprite, and Fila.
    from http://userpages.umbc.edu/~jmoore3/people.html</div>

BTW, Did anyone see that episode of Living Single? it was ironic..he broke his ankle in it... was that before or after he broke his ankle for the first time?? probably after..dont know..anyways..

The only time I ever saw grant hill play in a pistons uniform that i can remember was the playoffs..I was going out of the country and had a stop in detroit for like 3 hours..so we stopped at my parent's friends house for a while..and while they were all talking..a playoff game w/ detroit was going on..and i see grant hill for the first time making these jumpers..it was like woh... haha

yeah..this post is just hoping for grant hill to be 100% this time:)

First off, Grant Hill is not going to save the Magic franchise. Secondly, even if he CAN come back and stay healthy, he will be a mere shadow of the player he once was.

Face the facts, Grant Hill will never be a franchise player ever again, and will be a role player at best.

Think what you think but if GHILL is Healthy....he will prove the haters wrong. He doesn't have to be a roleplayer...he can be the better version of Scotty Pippen...scotty was no where near ghill was in ghill's best season..

What makes you think that he is going to be as fast or as agile? Do you know ANYTHING about sports medicine? If you don't, you wouldn't know what I'm talking about.

Come back? Yes. Be the slashing, fast, powerful scorer that he once was? No. Never.

As a fan I hope he makes one of the biggest career turn arounds in a long time. I think if he can be 75% of what he was he will be a perfect off set for T-Mac. Either way I'm excited to see him healthy (don't jix it)

All I'll say is if Illgaukus can comeback from 2 major foot injuries then anyone can.

    I'm always for thinking positive!

BTW-How can you say Hill will NEVER be back if you haven't even seen him play with the most recent surgery.

Sure, it could fail but you never know. Miracles do happen. Even a doctor will admit to that.

    Yes, I'm a believer!! LOL

Hill is the key to the magic's success. If he can play healthy for the next few years then we could win it all.( or at least the East...or at least the Division...or at least win a game...)

If the Magic trade T, they will still get some good players back in return.

The other key is trading Juwan-nice guy,big heart, not needed though.

Gooden is the man and he'll prove it with minutes.

    Play Hill at PG.

    Draft Okafur.Centre!

They need a solid SG and SF, which they can get from trading Juwan and T. If they could find a wa of getting KOBE, then I smell Championships!

Grant Hill probably won't be back to the person that he used too, but if he can contribute 12 points, 4 boards, 4 assists in 60 games and plays playoffs(if we make them), then I'll be extremely happy.

If Grant Hill comes back, there's a possibility that T-Mac could be gone next year. so the next Jordan/Pippen thing is not happening.

How much time has it been?
Still, though its not like he's 38 or 21. He'll be alright, but not great.

he can comeback and have an impact on the team, but to put the pressure of the next mj/pip on him and tmac cant and wont happen. for you to say that makes me think that duo can b/c mj/pip version 2. if hill was healthy from day 1 as a magic and they went to the finals a few times, maybe won a championship together, then maybe u can even mention it. obviously that hasnt been the case and therefore they cant be that duo.they would need more years playing together at a high level to earn the title of the next mj/pip duo.

i do hope grant comes back. i loved to see him play. he is a great talent and what he has gone through has been so tragic for him. all he did in his career was play hard and his is how he got rewarded. not fair to him and nba fans. best of luck to grant, but the magic organization can't try and bank on hill coming back and "saving" the franchise or else they are going to make moves they wouldnt make if they see that grant wont be himself. so it's best if the magic draft and make trades to help tracy out now and when grant comes back healthy he can impact the team even more. that is of course if he can play the whole year and playoffs.

yeah..even if hill only averages 10 points a game (which i doubt b/c he is a scorer and can hit OPEN SHOTS when TMAC IS double teamed...which will give him a field day whenever someone double teams TMAC...) and if Hill averages 5 assists (I think he is capable of more if he's playing point..this guy has amazing court vision..it's like having jason kidd who can shoot....i guess hill would be a slower version of jason kidd but better at scoring and rebounding (b/c of his size)...but I hope his ankle is good so he can be as fast as or faster than Jkidd (OKAY not I am having too much wishful thoughts;))

    so anyways...

I am sure T-mac has been playing with Grant Hill all this offseason practicing..etc. so TMAC knows how healthy Grant Hill is... If Tmac sees that Hill has still got mad game..then TMAC will not leave b/c GHILL (if healthy) + Okafor/D. Howard+ Tmac = winning the east..

A better version of Scottie Pippen? Are you joking? After all those surgeries, you honestly think he's gonna come back and be better than one of the greatest ever?

Making the debate "his best season was better than scottie's best season" is only correct if you've never watched a game and only looked at the stats. Scottie's defensive pressure did not show up on the stat sheets, nor did all his playmaking abilities (some of it was in assists, but he created more than what the assists say) .

Scottie was an AMAZING player ,as was Grant Hill, but I think a key word there is "was". He won't come back better than Pip. Grant will never be the same. Sorry, that's the sad truth, he just doesn't have the same physical abilities he used to have.

Although, I do think his expirience and leadership will help the team tremendously. But, his playing abilities will never be the same.
