Yes it was and I missed it because I had me and friend just came back from playing ball and I didn't wanna funk my bed. That sucks, I missed a great game. Anyways, the Twolves fell apart in the closing minutes of this game unbelieavably. The Kings almost did what the Twolves did to them just the game before. Superb.
The key to remember is "The Kings *ALMOST* did what the T-wolves did to them just the game before. You think game two's loss is gonna sting Kings fans, this one is gonna be aching them the rest of the series and with them on the back burner and homecourt now re-taken by Minnesota, the doubt is slowly creeping into their minds again. I am not going to count Sacramento out though because of what we all saw last night with them scoring those quick points with 4:15 left in the game. But, if the Wolves win Wednesday night, I don't see anything other than a win by the T-Wolves to close it out on Friday night knowing that the Conference Finals are within reach. Then again, in this series, it could change in a heartbeat.
This was a heartbraker for the Kings now the Wolves have homecourt advantage again. It was a good effort by the Kings but at the end Peja looked like he forced that shot.Even though Peja had the hot hand I would of put the ball in the hands of Bibby because, Bibby is know for making clutch shots in the playoffs(Lakers 2002).
Thing is - Bibby fouled out so he was completely out of the equation. Same went with the T-Wolves, Cassell fouled out with about 1:30 left in the 4th quarter and could not play overtime which absolutely killed us during the stretch where Sacramento came back and took over the 4th quarter. If Kevin Garnett's turn around jumper at the free throw line to put us up by 3 with just over 10 seconds left in overtime doesn't prove why he was the MVP of this league, then I don't know what else would.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Yugoslavia:</div><div class="quote_post">What a game.</div> I agree. Peja really broke out of his slump. Things that both teams should work on, and feel good about. Did you see how furious Christie was on that touch foul EARLY in the game?
I'm going to put this in an existing thread so as not to seem like I'm only seeing the negative, but I have to make the following statement concerning this game: <font color="DarkRed"><font size="4">Sacremento fans who were part of the mass exodus well before the final buzzer sounded should be ashamed of themselves.</font></font> First: As a devoted fan, you don't leave until the fat lady sings. Second: this was a Playoff Game and you don't leave until the fat lady sings. Do I need to say more? If Sacto fans really believe that they are deserving of the self-proclaimed "Best Fans in Basketball", they need to not ever act in this manner again. It was an absolute embarrassment to the fan base and an insult to the efforts of the players, who played to the end and never gave up. Sorry I had to visit this forum for the first time under these circumstances, but this just didn't set well with me and the majority of Sacto fans conduct themselves much better than they did last night.
Great Game...For The T-Wolves The kings came back, only to be so close..oh well Next Time we will get them
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PLATWolve:</div><div class="quote_post">Thing is - Bibby fouled out so he was completely out of the equation.</div> O my bad they did show that on the highlights.
I went to the game and was not part of the exodus, but I would have to say that was the porrest refereed game I"ve ever seen. It wasn't favoring the wolves like the masses would have you believe but just in general. Cassell's and Bibby's sixth fouls where poor calls where neither player even touched the ballhandler. The KG travelling call was BS as was the final shot. The Bibby Tech was pretty unmeritted.. tossing a headband into the crowd is no grounds for a tech especially when Ervin Johnson was barking at the ref during the last Peja freethrow because they wouldn't let him enter the game yet. The fourth quarter they let the teams play to end the game, then in OT they start calling the little touch fouls again. The only thing consistant on the ref's in the game was that is was consistantly horrible on both ends. If I was a player I wouldn't know what to do cuz when Ervin Johnson stands straight up and gets a foul and webber touches KG's jersey an gets one it sets a horrible precident for the rest of the game. The Wolves got a time out on a tangle up & when the exact same play happens 10 minutes later to the Kings in OT they call it a jump? Kings lost plain and simple. Saunders called it right and they had Peja covered but these ref's need to learn how to watch Basketball.
blah!!!. My friend jsut told me. IO barely even knew they were playing. He told me it was a helluva game. What a heart breaker. However, I still will go with the kings for the series. Both teams have been winning because of very, VERY slim margins. It is a toss up. The one Kings will win. And I am disappointed in Kings fans. Why leave the game? So confident we would win. *rolls eyes*.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Xyla:</div><div class="quote_post">I went to the game and was.........and simple. Saunders called it right and they had Peja covered but these ref's need to learn how to watch Basketball.</div> I totally agree. All fans and players want is consistency in the calls. I'm a Kings fan and thought that KG on Miller's back should've been a foul. I've seen it called many times when the player with the ball uses his body to shield the defender, and the defender rides his back. If it were tangled arms or they both had possesion when they went down, I could see a jumpball. But if one player is on the floor, and the 2nd player jumps on his back, that's a foul. The refs were like...we should call touch fouls startiiiinnnnnggggg NOW (whistle). Now, let's let them play physical. I always thought that if the offensive person doesn't get up, it's not travelling.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I always thought that if the offensive person doesn't get up, it's not travelling.</div> Incorrect. When a player gains possession of the ball, the refs have to determine what his base point is, which is almost always a foot, which is considered his pivot point, just as it would be if the player is standing. Should that player lift his foot, as KG did, then they have to call travel, unless another infraction occurs before the travelling infraction.
Hagrid- I don't think it is fair for you to bash Sac Fans if that is what you were doing. If you noticed, there were still a lot of people there for OT. That place was still rocking. Not every person that goes to a game is a die-hard fan. The Kings still have the best home court enviroment in the NBA. The fans there are crazy about there team and give the Kings a huge homecourt advantage.
My statement was clearly made towards those who left the game. I also clearly acknowledged that I believe the overall Kings fanbase to be much better fans than that. True not everyone is a die-hard, but it spoke poorly to see masses of fans leaving far before the conclusion of what turned out to be one of what could be the best post-season games this year. Whether people like what I'm saying or not, IMO, it spoke poorly towards the whole fanbase and the players out there putting forth such a tremendous effort. That's not fair that either group be treated that way and I felt the need to say so.
