i was on the NBA site and they said something about the 3 D's (Detroits Defence Dominates) (this was when thay killed the nets in round1) what the hell happend now round 3 and 4 we got murdered its like they forgot to take there defence with them they took them selfs there cloths but forgot to pack there decence.
i dont have cable or anything to watch these games so i wana know what the hell went wrong because if we only play D at home were gona get past the nets because of home advantage but if we meet the pacers which is most likly were gona loose because pacers have home advantage.

The defense has not been the problem for the Pistons in any of the games. The problem has been the lack of offense. Chauncey Billups stunk it up in the last game, and tonight Rasheed Wallace was shutdown, only getting off 5 shots, and making 1 of them before injurying his foot. The only player in double digits was Rip Hamilton with 30 points, the next closer player (Prince & Okur) only managed 8 points in the game. Shooting under 40% from the field isn't going to win you any games in the playoffs. The last 2 games the 3 D's for Detroit has stood for Detroit Don't Dunk, they need to retake the battle inside the paint in order to beat the Nets.

Well I tell ya I watched all four games and I'm still saying "What the hell happened?". It's been like watching two different teams. The Detroit team that showed up for our home games looked confident, assertive, full of energy - a team on a mission! When we were down 12 at halftime of game 2, I said to my girlfriend, "You watch. We're going to have a big 3rd quarter and we'll be leading going into the 4th." Even tho we were down at half-time you could just tell they were going to win anyway, no matter what the Nets did.

It's been exactly the opposite in Jersey. We look tentative sometimes, and the Nets look like the team on a mission. We're not playing with high energy all the time, it's like we're back on our heels or something (except for Rip & Ben, those two have been solid). Chauncy looked like his head wasn't even in the game last night. For instance, Rip had the hot hand last night, and one time Chauncy comes straight down and just jacks up a three with Rip standing open on the wing. I was like, "WTF?!?!" I'm sure LB was, too.

I think we'll turn things around in game 5. We'll have our fans screaming instead of theirs. The Nets really thrive off their crowd BIG TIME. Their crowd was a huge factor in both games IMO. That really got their motors running. We'll see Friday night.

its GAME 1,2,3,4 not ROUND. this is Round 2

its just the home court factor, thats its. both teams are good home teams and showed it. det still has the adv b/c they have 2 of 3 games at one of the hardest arenas to win at imo. rip had a great game, i though he should have taken the shot everytime down untill he missed b/c nobody else was willing to shoot it seemed. game could've been uglier if rip didnt knock down 30pts.

the crowds are the xfactor in this series. home teams have twice the normal advantage. glad this is going the distance, both teams are going to benefit from this experience this year and the following years.

Plus the fact that you don't expect Kidd, Kmart and Jefferson to have bad games after games 1 and 2.

It was simple really. Nets have the experience which I've been praising all this months as the one that will bring them back to the Finals. Down 0-2? No problem. Let's just switch defensive assignments (which was the key to games 3 and 4...Billups was checked by Kittles), run the break as we normally would, force turnovers, get inside the paint and bang the press table in the process.

Now we head back to The Palace with a hell of a momentum. This should be a close game.

It ain't the home-court, it aint the D, it's gotta be the offense. It's been disgusting.

When I watched game 3 what I saw as the major factor was the officiating. When your opponent gets away with any and everything imaginable, it is hard to win. When Larry Brown got fined for criticizing the officiating he was right. When KMart (why would you want that as your nickname?) should have had multiple travelling violations, and his only block was an obvious goaltending call for any decent referee. I was shocked and annoyed. There is nothing you can do in any basketball game if the refs don't want you to win.

Damn son, I coudln't agree with you more. That block that K-Mart had was the easiest goaltend ever. If it wasn't for the refs, K-mart would lived up to his nickname in games 3 and 4. Hold on, I just agreed with a pacers fan? Whoa.

It's okay, I want the Pistons to win the series too. We both know that the Nets are a weaker team and the Pacers would beat them easily. I love the Pacers, but I would rather watch a good series and see them lose (Pacers v. Pistons) than see them kill a weak team (New Jersey). Once Pacers and Pistons win, they will start their series which will go seven games. I can't wait.

thats a lot of talk for a team that is tied at 2 games a peice with a team that is weaker than jersey. unless if u mean by 'kill a weak team (New Jersey)" means going the distance in a physical battle, then you correct. you might want to re-word you comment to make sense.

I have no idea what's going on. For this series, I predicted a sweep for the Pistons. Detroit disappoints me a lot. So much talent was showed in the first two games, but then it was all downhill for game 3 and 4. Props to New Jersey though, for showing up and not getting sweeped.

New Jersey did not show up. The refs showed up and stole them the game 3. I couldn't watch game 4 but I bet it was the same story. New Jersey gets no props from me.

What was the game 3 score? How did the refs steal the game for the Nets? Huh [IMG]. I don't know what happened to Detroit, it's not surprising that the Nets protected homecourt it's how they flipped the script on them is whats surprising. They have to take better care of the ball like they do at home. Everybody knows that turnovers leads to a 3 second score for the Nets.
