Roko Ukic is officially in the draft now, according to Chad Ford and ESPN Insider, so that should please you hagrid.
Good news, but he won't be around when we might go looking for a pg, which would be at the 24,25 or second round.
doesnt matter who we pick. WE dont have a top five pick so no one we get is going to end up one of the top five players in the game and you cant win a championship in the NBA without one of the top 2-3 players in the game

This year has tons of talent and a pick in the teens and early twenties is just as good as a high lottery pick. This years draft is a crapshoot with all the high school and foreign players entering. This draft has no guarantees. Also the Pistons could win this season without a top 10 player in the league.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting olskoolFunktitude:</div><div class="quote_post">actually this is avery shallow dradft</div> I don't think you can tell as of yet. It's a draft of a lot of hit and miss projects - meaning in four or five years time, we'll look back and have a much clearer perception on what sort of a draft it was. I don't think anyone can tell with any sort of assurity at the moment.

By adding these picks we essentially now have 7 non impact crapshoot guys who could pan but not anytime soon. Banks,Perkins,Hunter, and this years 4 picks to go with about 7 more small forwards. We gonna have a 6 man rotation??

I know we dont know much about him, except the fact we know he was taken as a project last year. If he is ready to play 12-15 minutes a game, it completely changes our draft strategy. Having a healthy raef and perkins capable of playing 12-15 minutes a game, switches the immediate need to Center. Which makes the Swift, Ramos rumors make a little sense. Dont look for Danny to take a bruiser either (Aruajo, Jin) He wants guys that can get up and down the floor in a hurry, have good lateral movement and can swat some shots. These things are all condusive to a running game. Dont be suprised to see us take a wing player. If he hits a diamond in the rough with a wing player, it completely opens up our trade commodities (Davis, Welsch and yes, even our own beloved PP ) When you look at it (without green colored glasses) Who on our roster besides these 3 are going to get you a veteran big? It is a simple ...nobody!! What decent big are we going to get for the MLE? 5 million doesnt get you decent bigs in todays NBA, it does however get you some decent wing types. So we are at square one as far as bigs go, we either have to draft and be patient or trade one of the 3 mentioned above with picks. (to me the later is the most likely scenario) but Danny never takes his eyes off the future, so a project big man is probably in our near future with a draft pick. What I think we do or should I say hope we do. We have to lose a player in the expansion draft, to me the most likely 2 are McCarty and jones. The cats have said all along they want cheap, short term veteran contracts that are multiple position players, these two fit that description pretty well. It was also reported that Waltah (Charlotte Observer) was high on their want list. I want to see one of these 3 at the 15 Swift, Jefferson or Ramos ( I know Jefferson is a 4, but you just cant deny the skill set) The next part could go several directions, we can package the 2 picks to move up to grab one of the other 2 guys left from the 15 pick (somewhat likely) We can package the 2 picks and a player to get a servicable big man 4 or 5 (most likely) or we can hold 1 pick and trade the other (likely) In which case we look for that athletic freak that knows how to put the ball in the hole (Wright or Martin) or take a flier on a lanky point (Ukic or Huertas) Out of these 4 Wright would be my first choice and Ukic my second. We need to face the fact that we need to improve, but we arent looking to be true contenders. That comes when the cap space opens up 06-07. Until then it is stockpile the best talent even if it is raw and develop futures not presents. Everyone needs to keep in the vback of their mind that Danny is trying to fix a decade of mis-management, poor drafting, bad coaching and cap strapping. This isnt going to happen in a year.

We will need to rid one of our SFs if not more. Jones,Walter,Welsch,Davis,Pierce. We have enough right now. I know I am missing someone too. I have doing quite a bit of research and you are on the money with the philosophy of Doc and Ainge. Get some athletes for the most part. We will still need a post presence down the road but maybe Perkins can develop. I am looking at Free Agents that may fit the bill. Here are a couple that have piqued my interest with the style we will be playing. Adonal Foyle Antonio McDyess Vlade Divac Keon Clark
