<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KS1:</div><div class="quote_post">Well, I dont trust these sites but they're a lot of fun arguing against and they basically give you all the names of the players in the draft, thats it. I still think the Over Sea players are a big hype, I like to see players from college whom I been cheering on for 1, 2, 3, 04 4 years.</div>

I agree. I'd rather have Devin Harris than Andris Biedrins just because I know exactly what I'm getting with Harris.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You know what? They should have that rule, one year in college. It helps them a lot. I mean out of 1 million players, you get 1 Lebron or Garnett. Kwame Brown, Eddy Curry, Tyson Chadler, DeShawn Stevenson all could of used it.</div>

I agree 100%. There are a few threads on that already. [IMG]

I just noticed Brian Butch is #52 in the 2006 mock draft. That should be fixed. First of all, that'd mean that he'd be coming out after his sophomore year. What kid comes out after their sophomore year unless they are promised a high pick? The only kids that usually do that are dillusional ghetto kids from small schools, not smart kids with their head on their shoulders from big time schools.

I feel like Butch was rated so lowly because people don't truely know about him. Butch, a High School All-American, was highly recruited by the likes of Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Arizona. Yet, he chose to stay close to home and go to Wisconsin. He was not injured this season; rather, he opted to redshirt so he could gain weight and learn the college game before he played it. It?s extremely rare to see such a high profile player such as Butch redshirt, but it should make him a much better player. Some reports say that he has added up to thirty pounds of muscle. This dedication to impovement shows two things. One, he won't settle for being just another average player; he wants to be better than the competition. Two, he is not looking at college as just a development league before the NBA; he looks like he'll be staying.

Another thing to keep in mind is how high big men go. Big men are always in high demand, especially American ones. I feel Butch would be a mid-first rounder if he came out in 2005 <font size="1">(of course that'd be if he had a stellar freshman year like he's supposed to)</font>, but his stock will definitely rise every year he stays in. 2006 may be the peak year for his stock. Anywhere from top three to lower lottery would not be a surprise to me. Anyone else agree?

I have to check those threads out.

I think they rate them randomly, roll a dice or something, like Shannon Brown, Daniel Gibson rated so low. These playsers are just in college now, how do they know they're not going to develop? Its just stupid. The players are going to do whatever they want to do, but sportscasters like to pretend they know them. Its whatever, maybe Butch has a good history, because you know they worship the kids that come from broken homes and quit gangs, while the kids who's done nothing wrong gets no hype because they're not interesting. Just don't look at the sites no more.

[IMG] I think the people at nbadraft.tk read this site. They mysteriously moved Brian Butch into the first round, and Shannon Brown into the lottery. Um....
