<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Adelman? For all of his accomplishments during these six years - and he has established numerous regular-season franchise victory totals - only the playoffs matter. And according to sources close to the situation, Adelman has left himself open to second-guessing by high-ranking team officials for several reasons, among them these: utilizing a seven-man playoff rotation that generally is regarded as NBA folly; the dearth of extended minutes for Divac, whose presence both stabilizes and orchestrates the offense, and whose length and double-teams can pester Kevin Garnett; no minutes at all for rookie Darius Songaila, whose exuberance and physical play were so instrumental in the previous series.</div> Full Article: http://www.sacbee.com/content/sports/story...-10190707c.html
Well, they can second guess, but lets put some other factors into the mix: 1. Vlade is older and has been dealing with seemingly alot of little injuries that have crept up on him. That could be the reason for limited minutes right now. 2. Songalia is a rookie, no matter how you cut it. Maybe his footwork is still not up to par to deal with the likes of Garnett in any fashion more than that of a "Hack a KG"? At any rate, I'm not going to try and figure out why Adelman's on the hot seat, but only to say that someone will employ him the week he's fired, if Sacto was foolish enough to let him go.
I Didn't hear about that I think Adelman will stay on as Coach For the Kings...so far this is just a story, but it's something to think about!!!
it would be the most idiotic decison the Owners could ever make ..... This guy helped turn around a losing franchise ....Now that the local sports writers and spoiled Kings fans have got used to winning .....They want to take a dump on a very guy that helped spoil these Kings fans ??? Everybody makes mistakes , and just because some sports writers want to question his play calling and coaching style , does not mean the Maloofs will can Adleman ...I mean , what do the Sports writers know about coaching ???...they need to stick to writing positive articles at this time of the year in the playoffs ....esp the local writers ....I can't stand idiotic people like this ... Go Kings ~

Rick Aldelman is one of the greatest coaches in NBA History. He's coached the West All-Star Game so many times, and also coached a team to the NBA Finals in 1992 (Portland Trailblazers). If the owners will fire him, who else would they get? Tim Floyd? Heck no. It will be one of the stupidest things in sports history if this would of happened.
Why the hell would the Kings get rid of Adelman? I Don't see the point of why the Article was even written? It would make no sense at all to get rid of Adelman in my opinion!!

Why bring out this question now? They're in the midst of a very entertaining series against an up-and-coming team. This is a hell-of-a distraction and shouldn't have been brought up until the off-season. You can't blame the coach if he has his guys in the right places, but they just can't convert.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Why bring out this question now?</div> I think the writers motives are plain: Help sell copy. Controvery does that and the press has no such inclination of not providing a distraction as fans are inclined to. Personally, I think he's just a hack who's looking for attention, but that's just me.
