    or lack thereof.

Admittedly I am a Warriors fan, not a diehard Kings fan, but I am rooting for them to break through this year.

Webber's numbers last night were great, but I want to know from you Kings fans if you see what I see, that it looks like he's disinterested out there. He seems like he's going through the motions. There's no passion, not even the quiet angry look he used to have. The only emotion I saw from him was when he hit the last jumper and he and Bibby embraced.

Maybe that's just the Webber you get nowadays. I have not watched him that much this year, not like you guys. His knee is probably pretty bad because in the 2nd half, everytime there was a rebound, you saw Garnett get up court and simply leave Webber in the dust. If its not his knee, then Webber's just not hustling. I doubt it. Webber is not getting any tough rebounds, when there's traffic, he's just tipping the ball. Here's a guy who used to have the best hands in the league. Not now. Your thoughts?

Webber's played hurt all year, and he's not as dominating as he could be

But when he plays,he gives it his all....all i can say is that if Webber plays the way he has like last night, than things can be good for the Kings

    Webber's still a great player,in my book!!

    Very good question ......

I have been struggling with these type of thoughts since he returned from his MAJOR injury ....The first game back he looked like the Webber of old , putting up his regular double double game....But everyone that knows anything about the type of injury he got against Dallas, knows that it takes time and patience to totally heal this kind of injury ....He rushed it that first game back , and played to hard on it , trying to dunk the ball on defenders, and so on ...in which case he came down on the knee with extra pressure , or just a tad bit akward (spellcheck) and off balance .....there were reports of extra swelling in his knees after the first couple games back ...That is expected with this type of injury , but the doctors told him to take it easy , and slowly work his knee and body back into playoff form ....the swelling was also the reason why Adleman sat him against the Pacers(I think)...the game Bibby hit that game winner

IMO, Webber came back and hurt the chemistry of the team at the time he came back ....Which was why the Kings struggled so much after his return ....It seemed to me that when Massenburg were getting those minutes, the Kings had a more physical pressence inside , and with Darius getting crucial minutes , the Kings were clicking ....Webber plays a more finesse game , and IMO that is what screwed the chemistry up a tad bit ....Brad Miller needed to adjust as well ...he got his minutes cut in half , and IMO , I think it messed with his game a little when you talk about his shot and overall game......

All in all , the injury is a serious one , and it held up Webber and the Kings in the process ...Webber came back too close to the end of the season , giving the Kings a tiny bit of time to gell and start clicking ....The new additions this season is who had to adjust the most ....Miller, Peeler, Darius, Masenburg, Bufford.....3 out of the five players i just mentioned had crucial roles on this team while Webber was out ...Now half of those people don't hardly get any playing time because of Webbers' return, And it messed with the teams rotation and chemistry .....Which is why we went on that major slump towards the end of the year ...And had alot of people thinking the Kings would not make it out of the first round ....We did make it out of the Fist round , and IMO , we did it in convincing fashion , beating Dallas 4-1 .....

We would not have beat Dallas without Webber ....AND we will not go any further in the playoffs without Webber playing the bulk of the minutes

Webber + Injury = No chance for the Kings

Webber + playing = the only chance the Kings have.... BOTTOM LINE ....

btw , WEBBER PLAYS WITH EMOTION , AND IT OBVIOUS HE IS NOT 100% ....What i have seen out of him the most , is concentration ...He knows he can't do everything he used to be able to do . So he is trying to concentrate on hitting his shot and doing the little things that helps a team win games ...In other words , his physical ability has hindered right now , so he is trying to use his brain a little more .....That is IMO the reason why you have not seen the mean looks and so on ....as a matter of fact , last night he sure had tha6t nasty look on his face after he recieved that pass from Bibby , and he threw it down with both hands ....His injury has made it harder for him to be aggresive as much as he used to be ...And that is where you seen the mean mugs and agressive play ....Right now , he has to use his brain alot more then used too...

And that IMO , is the reason why some people have seen a different Webber out there on the court ....Because in all honesty ...you are seeing a injured and different Webber out on the court ...

I just hope some of these Kings fans don't boo him and turn their backs on him any more ....We NEED Webber to have any chance at a ring .....

Kings fans have been spoiled with this team the last couple of years ...

And now i see talk about Adleman possibly getting canned , and Webber this , and Webber that .....These are people that have forgotton what kind of team the Kings were before Adleman and Webber joined this franchise ....Petrie came with Adleman ....All of those people are the reason why the Kings began to start winning ...Webber cried when he heard about being traded to Sacramento....Why?....because at the time we were consistantly at the bottom of the division year in and year out ....Adleman and Webber are the MAIN reasons why the Kings franshise is one of the most feared in the NBA .....I pray they both stay for the rest of their careers ...

    Go Kings ~

Thanks Barraluficus (What's that?). That's exactly the insight I was looking for.

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] This is a GREAT post. This is exactly what the kings fans need to keep up their hopes and not start blaming people every time the Kings have a bad game.
