Coincidentally, though, I've got a sneaking suspicion that media outlets across the continent are about to become embroiled in a bidding war for my services that will probably force the Star to increase my salary 400 per cent. Alas, speaking of shattered dreams, it's been six weeks since Peddie put himself in charge of the search for a new general manager. And it's not a stretch to say he has failed miserably. Consider the chronology: Peddie cast his net, identified a shortlist, proclaimed two finalists, Jeff Weltman and Rob Babcock. And for a moment it looked as though one of those guys would be GM. But that was before Peddie introduced them to Tanenbaum last week. Tanenbaum took one look at his two options and everything stalled. Neither was hired. I read that article the other day. It definitly makes me wonder why Peddie is involved. Looks like he's pretty much single handedly made the Raps the laughing stock around the league in terms of management. It's pathetic really. I hope they hire Dr. J just to see how Peddie will spin his comments about Dr. J not being a legitimate consideration.

this is ridiculous...the raps are going to be feeding from the lottery trough for a long time to come unless some "basketball" people get involved in descision making. what a joke. all this is going to do nothing but scare off free-agents and decent head coaching possibilities.
Peddie should just shut his mouth and not make decisions, I actually already knew this would happend, but I was hoping it wouldn't, he's just going to screw our team, stupid guy.
When is Peddie getting fired is what I want to know. If he makes Grunwald accountable for having a bad record then he should be just as responsible. I'm calling for his head because he is absolutely the wrong guy at his position.

I'm tired of having and watching a mediocre team that can't shoot and is as interesting to watch as paint drying We went form one of the most exciting teams with Vince/McGrady too one of the least entertaining...every year it's the same problem....too many injuries, not enough size sorry, i had to vent, it's difficult to support this team when it's going nowhere

Feschuk's articles are always inflammatory in nature and peddie is neither a basketball or hockey guy. he used to be the ceo of heinz and he's a huge basketball fan, since he was a teenager he dreamt of being a president of a basketball club.
