<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Timberwolves-Sacramento Western Conference semifinal series already has been so emotional, so competitive, sometimes combative, one question looms as it returns to Target Center Friday night. Are there still sprockets left to ratchet up the tension of the best-of-seven series, which is tied 2-2? "Oh, yeah," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. Wednesday's Game 4 featured Wolves guard Latrell Sprewell kicking former Timberwolf Anthony Peeler's heel and Kings center Brad Miller engaging Sam Cassell in a mouthy physical confrontation. They were the two most obvious incidents in a litany of snarls and sniping, likely the result of tumultuous finishes in Games 2 and 3. "I had a friend tell me she hated Sam Cassell because he tried to trip Anthony," Kings forward Chris Webber said Thursday, apparently confusing Cassell and Sprewell. "I told her, 'Well, he's doing what he's supposed to be doing.' You're supposed to hate the opposing team. These are the playoffs. We're not out here to be called a bunch of great guys. We're here to be warriors." All four conference semifinal series are tied 2-2. There could be four Game 7s approaching. "I bet the NBA loves it," said Webber, who scored 28 points in Game 4. "If I was the NBA, I'd love it." Adelman said he, too, loves it, even if this particular series is making him a nervous wreck. "Both teams have gone on emotional rides, been all over the place," Adelman said. "Both teams have been feeling each other out, trying different things, reacting. It's about the point where each team knows what it needs to do. This really is what the playoffs should be about. One game, you're the goat. The next, you're the hero."</div> Link
I expected this to be emotional and physical. I expected nothing less of these two teams. There are some cheap shots in there, but when you are fighting to go to the Finals, of course there is going to be a lot of stuff in there that shouldn't be. This is the playoffs.

I've allways felt a bit that American sports in general lack a bit of "it's our team against the rest"-mentality that is the norm in Europe, especially when it comes to the sport you call soccer. Over here we love our team and hate the rest. Most notably our local rivals. And what's the deal with people having more than one favourite team? I can understand guys like Henacy who roots for the Nets, but also follows the T-wolves closely because of Sam. But unless it's a case similar to that, I don't get it at all. Sorry about going a bit offtopic.
