The fact that Kings fans can place equality on BOTH of Peeler's attacks and KG's body check shows that your level or biasness is disgusting. Was Webber standing there when it happened, was he in the middle? NO! Was Sprewell there? NO! And instead of commenting on what he didn't see, he just said that he wasn't there. But Webster was like KG did this and Peeler did this, they should have the same degree of discipline. WTF! There is a reason that there are different types of flagrants, and excessive force that warrants it. 1st-As a fan of the game, I'm torn because I've been in intense games against friends and know that your will to win increase your adrenaline. KG was elbowed with force, and (what I believe happened because I've done it, and it's happened to me) when Peeler came back, KG shouldered him with force to say "What the F#*$ was that!!!", and Peeler responded with the shot towards KG's face. 2nd- As a fan of the Wolves, I believe Peeler should be suspended due to the fact that he provoked the attack. And when KG shoulder him, he ATTACKED with blatant force towards KG's head. Both players were bout it, but the refs came in and broke it up. KG, IMO, was shocked that his friend did this, and anyone who has been through similar means knows exactly what happened.
KG is all about intimidation. He trys to intimidate smaller players in any way he possibly can. He messed with the wrong guy this time. Peeler doesn't take any crap from anybody, not even an ex teamate. KG getting clocked in the jaw is exactly what he needed. I garuantee he is still feeling the effects of that one.
Anyway this is basketball, I could careless if somebody did or didnt get punked. If KG would have threw a punch back, we would have had the 97' Heat-knicks series all over again. Now granted Patrick Ewing didnt throw a punch in the Charlie Ward/PJ Brown incident but he did get involved in the foolishness. And got suspended & the Knicks went from being up 3-2, to losing in seven. And that should tell all superstar players to avoid any type of incidents in the Playoffs. They can completely change a playoff series. Alot of Knick fans still think that was their best year to beat the Bulls in the Eastern Finals and go on to win a chip. And the Timberwolves are in a similiar situation. This is probably their best year to win a chip, Cassell & Spree arent getting any younger, key parts like Hassell & Hoiberg may not be back etc. So to have those championship dreams end by KG throwing a punch would have benn surpreme stupidity by KG. I dont even know why KG put himself in risk of that type of situation happening to be honest, not in the Playoffs. Everybody in the gym saw KG go down from the 1st cheap elbow by AP, so what KG should have done was get back up. And then as the Wolves brought the ball back down court, set up in the low post, make one hard move, & then there would have been a 100% chance that he would have been on the line shooting free throws(because the Refs noticed he went down on the trip before that). And then he would have shooting free throws, something he & the rest of the t-wolves did very little of in that game. But anyway... Iam surprised that so many people sound impressed with AP catching KG with a weak cheapshot. That really wasnt that impressive. You know what would have been more impressive in AP career? If during his 6 seasons as a t-wolf, he would have given KG some legitimate help so they could have gotten out of the 1st round one of those years

I will say that Peeler was stupid for the type of retaliation he gave to Garnett .....And that it will most likely end up with him being fined and suspended ...Not to smart ....But then again , it has been evident that Garnett has BEEN giving the "little" guys on the Kings good little elbows and shoulders from picks and so on the whole series ...IMO , i think that is just playoff basketball ...But obviously Peeler felt different about it .....On the same play that Garnett got elbowed in the stomach ....Right before that Wally elbowed Peeler in the mouth and drew blood ....No foul call ....cool ....Peeler came back with a good elbow that dropped Garnett ....that was not any more then what Garnett has been giving the "little" guys all series ...it just happened to catch him off guard and in the bread basket ...OUCH ......Peeler comes back and Garnett tries to elbow him ...Peeler did the stupid thing and went for the head ...OUCH .... This could help and hurt the Kings at the same time .....We know we need the intensity , and we got it in game 6 , and it will carry over to game 7 ...But we most likely lost Peeler for game 7 ...OUCH ....Bufford feeled in nice for Peeler , and hit some big momentum changing shots and that electrifrying dunk also ....I always thought this guy had it in him ...Now he might get the opertunity of a lifetime in game 7 to play some crucial minutes ....If he steps up like he did in game 6 ....the Kings have a chance ... We'll see what happens .... Oh, BTW ...here is the article about why Peeler did what he did http://www.sacbee.com/content/sports/baske...-10251780c.html Go Kings ~
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">KG is all about intimidation. He trys to intimidate smaller players in any way he possibly can. </div> Where is your basis on this point........you don't have one. True, KG does have an intimidating fashion about him, but it's not to smaller players only (Ask Tim Duncan). Every superstar has this in their "game aura" if you will. Some are a little more aggressive about it, but you have to have this to be a "name". Look at Ben Wallace, look at Artest. And if you guys have seen KG use excessive force with elbows, then you may feel vindicated that this happened. I haven't, so I don't understand it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Peeler caught Garnett with an elbow on the Minnesota Timberwolves' previous possession, leaving the league MVP lying on the court. When Minnesota came back down the floor, Garnett retaliated by lowering his shoulder to elbow Peeler, to which he responded by hitting Garnett in the face. "I'm not playing like that," said Peeler of what he said were repeated Garnett cheap shots. "He's not going to hit me in my throat, and I'm not going to hit him back."</div> Doesn't sound like a cheap shot from Peeler to me... but there's definitley been some kind of misunderstanding. I don't think Garnett would play dirty like that.

You dont go from throwing elbows around the waist area to aiming for a cats' throat. KG wasnt expecting it to go to that level & nobody else in the building was expecting it so that = cheapshot. I would understand if both were in a fighting stance & then AP tapped his jaw, then that would have impressed me but not that BS, AP pulled please.

You hit someone with force with the intention to hurt, be expected to be hit back in the dome. I didn't know there were rules in fighting. "Only below the neck and above the waist." Come on man, KG got socked in the face and should have expected it, especially from AP.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">Oh come on. If he wanted to hurt Peeler, it would have been just as easy to look like he was running a play and send an elbow to the jugular. Like I said, it looked clear as day what happened when KG elbowed Peeler (what the F%$& was that for homie? ) and people are trying to make it sound malicious. Come on ppl, can you be so blind and biased to even fathom that the two blows are similar. It's also apparent that KG was not ready for the furnace of deep playoff games. There is a whole nother level of intensity and KG needs to soar or burn. You could tell he was shook on the whole mishap.
