Dre made a thread like this a while back, it was an interesting concept, so lets do another one...

With the current standards for enshrinment (not based on your own standards), should and will these players be in the basekball hall of fame sometime in the near or distant future...

    Benard King

    Chris Mullin

    Mitch Richmond

    Kevin Johnson

    Mark Jackson

    Joe Dumars

Benard King - Tough call but potentially, No. Injuries really shortened his career.

Chris Mullin - If he gets in, I'll be surprised.

    Mitch Richmond - No

    Kevin Johnson - Absolutely.

Mark Jackson - Isn't he still playing?

Joe Dumars - Consumate team player + Long career + good numbers + Multiple championships = No Doubt.

Bernard King - I love 'Nard. His career was unreal, and he showed he still had it after he came back from injury with Washington. 19,000+ points scored. Was potentially the best offensive player in the League between '78 and '85. Could score on anyone at anytime, anywhere. But his injuries and the fact he only played 80+ games 4 times in 14 seasons will probably keep him out for a long time. Outstanding college career as well. I wouldn't argue or complain if he got in tho' but if it happens it probably won't be anytime soon. But make no mistake 'Nard is one of the greatest.

Chris Mullin - He was a great player, but I didn't feel the bulk of what he did warrants a call to the Hall. Never considered the top dog at his position and never a real dominant player. Great team player with a hard-nosed attitude but not Hall bound.EDIT: I amend what I said earlier. Mullin was a premier player from bout '86 to about '92 he was one of the best shooters/scorers in the League who could and would shoot the lights out every night. Scored 20+ points a game for 7-8 straight years. And I rethought my assesment of his placement at his position during his career he was in the top 5 for 8 years or so. Comparing his stats and accomplishments with others in the Hall will tell you he deserves to go as well.

Mitch Richmond - Yes. 'Rock' was one of the top 3 shooting guards between the years of '91 and '98. Considered by many the top shooting guard in the NBA when Jordan retired the first time. Very underrated who brought his A game night in and night out despite playing for mostly bad teams. 20,000+ career points scored and 8-9 years of dominant play at his position = Hall Of Fame.

Kevin Johnson - Mos def. KJ was one of the best players on the planet in his day and was the heartbeat for the Suns for awhile. Had a few years taken away because of inujry but played at a high level for a very long time.

Mark Jackson - Consumate point guard on the court. Second all time in assists. Always made his teammates better when he was on the court. One of the most underrated players in NBA history IMO.

Joe Dumars - I agree with everything hagrid said about Joe D. Just ask Michael Jordan how good he was. [IMG]

Well what I would say about all of these guys has been said. If you go by who is in the Hall already, there is no doubt in my mind that all of them deserve to be in there.

Benard King - I think so.

    Chris Mullin - Not likely.

Mitch Richmond - Great player in the 90's, not sure if his career would warrant HOF.

Kevin Johnson - I think so.

Mark Jackson - Probably, he is among the top passers all time.

Joe Dumars - Vital part of that mini Pistons dynasty in the late 80's, I think he'll get in.
