Info: Height: 6'5 Weight: 195 Position: SG College: Kansas Was just looking on nbadraft.tk and I was checking out my boy JR Giddens. Great athleticism, he has a beautiful jumper with nice three point range, plus he's long which makes it even better. And with the help of Bill Self, it seems that his defense has greatly improved too. He just needs to get in the weight room a little bit more, and he could do big things in the NBA. I'll try to get a good pic if i can.
I think JR Smith is a much better prospect. He has amazing athleticism (much better than Giddens) and farther range on his jumper than Giddens. I mean, right now, Giddens may be better because of his year in college, but overall, Smith is the better player. He is a good young prospect though.
Giddens is a great offensive prospect who is a talented streak shooter and his elevation and ability to finish around the hoop is outstanding (his ability to get there isn't there...yet.) Holes in his defensive game are the primary reason he played less than 26 mpg last year. If he bones up his 'D' and has a good year for Kansas, he will be big news at this time next year.
HELL NO! My boy Giddens is stayin for college! He knows how valueable and honorable it is for someone to finish four years of school. Besides, he'll be ruined in the nba, no offense, he's just too young. I've only thought that one high school player has ever been ready for the NBA, LBJ. Anyhow, coaches always give up to easy on the high school players, they have so much time! look at jermaine o'neal, portland gave up on him, now he's an all-star. But on the other hand, there's the far more common deshawn stevenson syndrome, where they're not mature enough and end up failing. whatever though. GIDDENS IS THE SHIZNIT
Also, giddens isn't athletic? HELLO, HE WAS SECOND IN THE MCDONALD'S DUNK CONTEST WHEN HE HAD A BROKEN FOOT. DUH, he's got athleticism comin out the butt.
Well, I've seen him play many times and he is very athletic but this kid definitely needs to stay in college at least 2 more years, w/o a doubt.
