Well, looks like we'll be waiting longer. Kings smacked around the TWolves today. And, yea, now that I've thought about it, I really want a rematch of the '02 WCF. That was the most exciting series I've EVER watched. And, personally, I think the only teams that could top that series would be Sac-town and Los Angeles. Plus, denying the Kings a championship ring once again would be nice to see. But, yea, they always put on a fantastic show when they're on the same court. In my opinion, it's the best rivalry in all of basketball and it's taken to even higher levels when they get together in the postseason. Though, it'd be nice to see the top 2 seeds go at it to see who is really the best, I just would rather see the Kings/Lakers. But, like I said earlier in the thread, when it all boils down, it doesn't matter, so long that the Lakers head to the finals and take their 4th ring in 5 years, I don't care.
I think the Lakers/Kings match up would be more enjoyable and competitive. Shaq would absolutely dominate Johnson and Madsen. I think the Kings match up better against the Lakers than the Wolves do. I also don't want to see Spreewell win a title.
^ Won't you be getting a new sig soon? Anyways you're right about the Kings matching up better. The TWolves are more of a half court team and that's right up the Lakers alley. They struggle a bit with fast breaking teams and will be more fired up to play the Lakers then the TWolves obviously ppl's know why.
I actually Kings are harder to beat than Wolves, cause they play much more of a team game. Im not sure, imo both teams would be a great matchup with the lakers
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">I also don't want to see Spreewell win a title.</div>Why don't you put "Kings 4 champs" in your sig, then we would be sure they won't win it
Well, being a Wolves fan I'm biased in saying that I'd like to see the Wolves/Lakers series. If anyone honestly thinks the Lakers would walk over the Wolves in the Western Conference Finals is gravely mistaken. The Wolves have proven they can win on the road in hostile environments (Sacramento Game 3) and they won against LA last year on the road as well despite losing the series. Just because LA has Shaq and Kobe doesn't mean anything. You get Trenton Hassell on Kobe Bryant or Sprewell on Kobe Bryant and it will reduce his scoring guaranteed as it did against Peja and Bibby in the Sacramento series. The things that really hurt the Lakers are their ability to shoot free throws and three pointers. Sure, we don't have a dominate center like Shaq, but I can guarantee that if we play you guys in the WCF, Mark Madsen will be fired up and will do anything and everything to help the Wolves win playing against his former team. If Sczerbiak gets back on track and poses another outside threat, along with Sprewell, Cassell and "The Mayor" the Lakers could be in for a long series. Then again, if Shaq is dominating and Kobe is scoring high amounts of points then the Wolves will be in a world of hurt. All in all, the series (if with the Wolves) would probably go the distance of at least 6 if not all 7 games (with Minnesota having the home court advantage for the series)

But with what you just said, I really disagree with. First off, the TWolves are a jump shooting team with anyone besides Garnett, with no awareness for an inside game. The Lakers will easily be content with Minnesota shooting jumpshots on them as long as they have able defenders to disrupt their jumpshooting abilities. Secondly, how about the condition of Sam Cassell? It looks like his back spasms won't get better anytime soon, and if he's not 100%, who'll be the main catalyst on each and every Wolve offensive possession? Yes, you did beat Sacramento on the road, but the Sacramento Kings are just like your team, a regular jumpshooting team with no kind of inside game at all. If you come to Staples Center, you're dealing with Shaquille O'Neal, who'll definitely tear up and destroy Ervin Johnson and Mark Madsen. You have Kobe Bryant, who is a team player, leader, and scorer, Karl Malone like he did Tim Duncan will pull the tricks out of the bag and do his very best to defend the MVP Kevin Garnett, and lastly you have Gary Payton. And who knows where he'll have his head at? The best your team has to look at is homecourt advantage. If you take care of homecourt, you'll be in terrific shape. If not, you'll be going fishing in no time, and the Lakers will be on their way to the NBA Finals.
Idk who will the Lakers play, all I know is that home court advantage isn't a factor between the Wolves-Kings series.
If home court advantage isn't a factor in this series, then why don't the Kings/Wolves game 7 be played elsewhere other than in Minnesota's building? Home court is huge, especially for a game 7. Both teams won once on the road in this series, nullifying those road wins which put back home court advantage to the T-Wolves. I'd much rather be playing at home than on the road for a game 7.
i personally want to see wolves vs. la. only because i dont want to hear the queens fans around here crying about every little call and sayin the refs are cheating and all that garbage

You wont whine but I've got a feeling that the thousands of other fans will. I really don't want to see the Lakers play the Kings now that I think about it because I've become agitated with Floppy. Its irritating to see Shaq get in foul trouble game after game after Divac shows off his acting. I'd rather take Ervin Johnson getting dunked on any day.
It's the Timberwolves everyone... they just won Game 7 in a very close one! We have to ready the jet for the twin city. It's flashback to last year's first round... same teams, same homecourt, same best of seven, like last year's, only better.
It was funny how Kobe said that the Lakers need to get ready for the Lakers in the interview after they beat the Spurs.
