I hope he can work hard this summer too. Hey by the way, he is great defense, great passing, unselfishness away from a great PF in the leage.

Quoting dachen33:

wow, im suprise there is only ONE blazers fan here, and he doesnt live in Portland. Come on blazers fans, this important, i need some backup here.
I can get you some blazers fans in here. I'll spread the word. What about Darius Miles as a franchise player. If the guy is motivated he can be a good offensive/defensive type of guy at the forward, guard spot. Now if he can increase his range on his shot he'll be deadly.
Randolph, he's young and he wants to be good, he wants to be a leader on his team, and he'll continue to develope.
Randolph and SAR play roughly at the same level but I always saw SAR as a bit of a softie(see fight with kenny thomas when he was back in Houston ans REef on the Hawks) whereas Randoplh still has potential to grow. I think the Blazers are planning to build the team around him. Furthermore he is too underpaid to be included in a trade whereas Reef's contract is approximately similar to that of Ray Allen making him much more eligible.
I would go with Zach, beacause they need strenght inside, I know Shareef gives them perimeter threat, but he is old, i feel like randolph is more need for the blazers.... and randolph keeps gettin better, and he MIP award!

Shareef is nice, he will let Darius truly blosom into a player he suppose to be.

He's still developing, but he's not likely to be a franchise type player. He's not going to reach Kevin Garnett proportions. Zach Randolph is potentially a better Rasheed Wallace, maybe a Jermaine O'Neal.(Imagine that Portland correlation?) Individual positions may vary, but that's why I think you have to keep Randolph.
Is Zach Randolph even a shotblocker or has the 3 point range that Sheed has? I just don't see it in Randolph. I think D-miles could be the real deal, but he's had some pretty bad coaching in the past. We'll see how consistent he is at shooting and his decision making on the court. He's already got the quickness, size, defense, versatility, shotblocking, and ballhandling at guard/forward/ or underweight power forward.

While Darius in the other hand, he is more and more like KG, first bad at shoting, now improve more and more, and become more and more of a complet player. Blazers need to resign him.
Zach Randolph can't be Rasheed, Sheed was a pretty good three point shooter, and defender and shot blocking presence, but he was a bad rebounder for a 6'11 F-C, and he never broke the 20+ ppg mark. If Randolph can work with his height, become a better defender without the blocking, you don't have to block to be a good defender, his scoring and rebounding is already there, he can be much better than Sheed who could never mak out his potential.
Lets hope so, but Darius Miles is has a better future because of the combination of his height, his long arms, his speed, his veritcal jump, his drible skills, his blocking skills, his dunks, and now he is working out his jumpshots. He is a very hard person to guard.
Dachen your just being biased because D-Miles is your favourite player. Yes Randolph can't block shots like Rasheed or might not be a better 3PT shooter, but hell who cares. As og15 said Sheed never broke the 20ppg mark (Which Randolph has) and he was a pretty weak rebounder for a PF. Plus, how many years have we been waiting for Miles to break out?? I mean, he's always supposed to win the MIP every year.
