If he leaves the lakers, it won't be via trade. He's going to be a free agent, and the the way he will leave is if he signs with another team
Isn't Kobe a restricted free agent though? But, no matter what, the Lakers can still offer him the most money out of any team out there. So, I think he's gonna be back in a Laker uni next year. But, I can say this, if they trade him off for the biggest ballhog in the NBA, aka Allen Iverson, I will be PISSED. AI, don't get me wrong, I like him and what not, but, he is a ballhog. He takes a lot of bad shots, and, to say the least, he isn't all that good of a shooter either. If they trade possibly the best player in the league in Kobe for AI, I will be angered. Getting TMac wouldn't bother me as much, but, I'd still rather see Kobe back in a Laker jersey next year over either of them.

Kobe isnt the MVP of the Lakers, never has been, never will be... as long as Shaq is drawing 2 and 3 defenders, Kobe cant be taken seriously, for all we know he could get hurt and turn into another Penny Hardaway. Give T-Mac Shaq and see what he does =)

He is in the sense that he's doing and achieving his best regardless of the pressure and problems upon him right now. Also although sometimes he had put his ego before the team, unlike Shaq, he was never lazy, he may have not performed well all the time, but he always gave it his all. That alone makes him the MVP, not to mention how useful, successful, consistent and clutch he has been. He's always been a major factor, if he fails, the Lakers will probably fail, his need to be there represents his being the MVP.
there's alot of difference between kobe and KG please don't compare them. And the best player all-around it's gotta be KG. For all you lakers' fans kobe is gone for next year he wants a team for his own, He knows shaq still the best in the lakers. In my opinion he's gonna end up in memphis or Denver.
Kobe is going to the Clippers. He said he loves Los Angeles, and there's no way he's going remaining a Laker.

everybody would take kobe on their team if they had a chance to get him. if you had 1 shot to take, you know you would want kobe to take it. he's made plenty of clutch shots over his career, in pressure and non-pressure situtations. so anyone who says that kobe sucks isn't thinking before they type and is purely a kobe/laker-hater. if your going to say someone sucks, at least support your thought so you don't look like a tool.
Man everything went off topic when Spursfreak#21 said Kobe sucks. Seriously he dosen't know what he's talking about so why bother? Well back on topic... Kobe is going to remain as an L.A Laker. Year by year, Shaq production is going down and Kobe produtcion is going up. This year Kobe is clearly the team MVP IMO. He's taking Shaq spot as the Lakers #1 Star. Shaq is still a Top 5 player in the league, and Kobe knowns he's going to need Shaq. But this time he'll be the main attraction. When the Lakers win the title, don't be surprised if Kobe takes the Finals MVP. If he does that's going to be the turning point. That's when it will be official, that he is going to be representing the Lakers from now on. And him and Shaq will be exchanging costumes and Kobe will now be wearing the Batman outfit while Shaq will be Robin.
