This isn't a rumour but just an idea I thought of. Brad Miller has been getting quite poor minutes in the playoffs. But he prooved in the season just what a good player he was. Why don't the magic trade Howard and Draft pick to the Kings for Miller and their draft pick. C Miller PF Gooden SF Garrity SG T-MAC PG Hill I think this would make the Magic contenders in the EAST
Well there's a lot of trades that could be possible but ... how about this trade.. Orl trades - Juwan Howard , Andrew Declerq, Reece Gaines Atl trades - 1st round draft pick Hou trades - Cato , Francis Orl receives - Steve Francis Atl Receives - Cato , Andrew DeClerq Hou Receives - Atl 1st round draft pick , Juwan Howard , Reece Gaines. that will leave us with C - Okafor/2nd rounder PF - Drew Gooden/ZaZa SF - Bogans/Garrity/Hill SG - T-Mac/DeShawn Stevenson PG - Steve Francis/T-Lue/Hill ^^^Noticed we don't even depend on Hill anymore , I think T-Mac would stay if we get an all-star..and Francis will have to adapt with the NBA leading scorer to take less shots..or who cares they can both average 18+ like the Wolves...but then Gooden and Okafor will average around 10 - 15 as most. I think is a good trade for every team, Atalnta gets Cato...,Resigns Bob Sura , and the other guys that did good this year and keep DeClerq as a backup .. Houston can draft Livingston or another good PG and has Juwan instead of Howard now...Yao near basket , Juwan outside shot make a good equation...
Nah , a lot of people hate Francis ... he just needs to mature a little but you have to admit he is an all -star player..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting crazytown:</div><div class="quote_post">You don't want Francis. He's a cancer to a team. I'd be pissed if they get him.</div> Cancer to Houston? He isn't one. He is a team captain and an improving point guard. The Magic would love to have him. He will be happy taking 14 shots a game. He will average 19ppg and T-Mac 26ppg if he does get traded to Orlando. Speaking of the trade, I do not like it. Houston trades away too much and does not get back enough. Also, Cato and Declerq are not worth a top 5 pick.
Well this trade could be polished..say 1 more from Houston that doesn't get much playing time and/or 1 more from Orlando...things like that to match a 1st round pick.
What about this trade? Orlando Trades - Juwan Howard , Andrew DeClerq , Reece Gaines Atlanta Trades - 1st Round Draft Pick , Someone else LA Clippers Trades - Q Richardson , 1st Round Draft Pick ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Orlando Receives - LA Clippers 1st Round Draft Pick Atlanta Receives - Q Richardson , Juwan Howard , Andrew DeClerq LA Clippers Receives - Someone else from Atlanta , Reece Gaines , Atlanta 1st Round Draft pick. that leaves us with... C - Okafor/2nd Round PF - Drew Gooden/ZaZa SF - Bogans/Garrity/Hill SG - T-Mac/DeShawn Stevenson PG - Ben Gordon(or Shaun Livinston even though I would like Gordon more because of the Gordon , Okafor chemistry then you add T-Mac..is a killer.)/ T-Lue/Hill ^^^^ Noticed we don't need Hill here aswell , so if you haters say he will not play any good or break his ankle..oh well... Atlanta gets Juwan Howard...a 20 - 10 possible guy if he is the #1 guy...Q Richardson a very hard working dude that has really improved in the last few seasons and could average a fair amount of points and rebounds... LA Clippers..get the 2 for 1...a prospect PG that could be better than their current one and someone from Atlanta (Maybe Stephen Jackson if he re-signs with them) plus just move to the 6th place in the draft..and Gaines is a like a draft pick and kinda like Devin Harris (which NBA Draft.net has Atlanta drafting..) so they can draft a SG like JR Smith..or a Big Center to help Brand. What you guys think?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting crazytown:</div><div class="quote_post">You don't want Francis. He's a cancer to a team. I'd be pissed if they get him.</div> Steve Francis is not a cancer. But, I don't think trading for him would be a good Idea. Francis is not a good point guard and he will be turnover prone. Francis would be great on a team that will allow him to play his natural offguard position. MY TRADE: Orlando Trades: Declerq, Howard Boston Trades: Mihm, First Rounder Atlanta Trades: 1st Rounder Orlando Gets: Mihm ATL 1st Rounder Boston Gets: Howard Atlanta Gets : Boston First Rounder, Declerq Probably a stupid proposal but im trying to make conversation

All of these trade ideas would never happen. For one, Steve Francis would not fit in with the Magic. No way. This is the same guy that had a major problem when he wasn't the primary option in the Houston offensive scheme when Van Gundy took over. He's not what we need anyways. As for the trades involving Atlanta, they're all not going to happen simply because Atlanta wants to shop around on the free agent market and start over fresh with some younger players. If anyone in the league is going to try and trade up for the #1 pick if they don't get it, it's going to be Atlanta. They want a young kid to build a franchise with and while this draft isn't the deepest, they think that they can find a franchise player. They might. As for the Magic moving Howard? I doubt that as well. Drew Gooden is the guy that they are going to try and get something for. I don't agree with it, but the truth is that Gooden holds more value than Howard simply because of the fact that he's young and talented, Howard is getting up there and he just doesn't mesh with any team that well, mostly because he can't play defense. Nevertheless, this should be an interesting draft and I don't think that the Magic are going to try and fill their needs through trades as much as they will through the draft.
I think Juwan has more defense than Gooden...and is a role player that can consistenly give you what you want..and has experience. We should keep Gooden , I hope we do ..anyways I think the only way next season would be good is with at least a trade involving a PG...since we can't sign any..even if trade means a top 8 draft pick ..that would still do it...can you imagine Okafor and Gordon and T-Mac and Bogans? I think all could play really good defense if they wanted too...what about Livingston T-Mac Okafor and Gooden? holy smoke... Only good draft pick wont cut it , I hope we trade DeClerq and Juwan at least.

I don't want the guy. I'd give him 5 games before he would start complaining he isn't getting as many shots as T-Mac & Hill. Anyways, the lottery is in 9 days! Once we know where we'll be picking then I think it'd be time to start talking trade scenarios.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Why don't the magic trade Howard and Draft pick to the Kings for Miller and their draft pick</div> I hope you're not talking about the Magic's first round pick for this year, the one that could land a top 3 pick. Brad Miller even though he has had a very good season in Sacramento thats all down to the system he is playing in. At the Kings he has been so successful purely thanks to the great movement that team has, he gets alot of cuts and backdoors plays and so many times this season because of Bibby's penetration Brad gets alot of open 15-18 foot jump shots. If you put him in a situation like Orlando I wouldn't expect him to be anywhere near as effective. You would get the guy that played for Indiana of last year, a very soild center who can give you 12 and 8. But certainly not the kind of star he has been in Sactown.
Well first of all, I don't think Orlando should trade away their draft pick. (Regardless of the situation, unless a top 5 player is involved) This may not be the deepest draft, but the talent is still there. Since Orlando has such a terrible record, their chances are obviously higher for a top pick. Brad Miller could work, but like Allnet said he wouldn't be the same player. The role he plays in SacTown is the perfect fit for him, and coming to Orlando would only change his game. Also, when you created that trade, I'd take out the draft pick because we desperately need the lotto this year. Steve Francis in an Orlando uni doesn't sound too good. He's not cancer to a team, but he isn't a true point guard. We need a pass first PG who will look to get the teammates above anything else. Eric Snow would be the ideal player starting for us.
If we could give up a future 1st and Juwan for Brad I would do it in a heartbeat. We desperately need a center and Brad Miller is a solid center, even in Orlando he would be. 12 and 8 from the center position is a definite improvement over what our starting center had last year. 3 pts and 3 boards. There's no way we would get a top 5 player in the league for the #1 pick. If we could get an annual all-star(3-4+ years) for the pick, I would do it. (as long as the person isn't winding down his career and play is diminishing. Someone around the age of 24-26.
