(AP) -- Memphis Grizzlies president Jerry West was selected NBA Executive of the Year by the Sporting News on Tuesday after turning a struggling franchise into a playoff team. But West said the Grizzlies' makeover is far from finished. ``We had a magical year this year. OK, but does that qualify as a success in my eyes? No. We need to get better,'' he said. </div> Source Congrats to Jerry West for this award. This is the second time he's one the award, he also won in 1995 with the Lakers. His hardest task for the upcoming season will be trying to convince Hubie Brown back as coach.
Good job, Jerry that award would have been a travesty if it went to anyone else but Jerry West. Danny Ainge was the worst executive EVER i think.
