<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bhavin:</div><div class="quote_post">Woulda, coulda, shoulda I still think Lakers would have won because they had more momentum.</div> contradicting yourself in the same sentence there, don't you think?
First off heres alittle something for those of u who still think that 0.4 shot was legit: http://www.woai.com/spurs/story.aspx?conte...07-128911DCCB8A This is pointless tough , its true that the Spurs got screwed and the shot shouldnt have counted but why are we talking about it in the off-season...Lakers can have their "0.4 miracle" to hold on to for years to come while the Spurs are busy winning championships. And for that Dallas fan that thinks they wouldve won it with Dirk in 2003 , be real man...ur no-defense Mavs played better without Dirk.It gave Van Exel and ur other role players a chance to step up , which they did. They were already down 2-1 with Dirk and on there way to a 3-1 deficit before Dirk got injured , and its not like the Dirker wouldve stopped Timvp...or even Kerr's killer 3's
Everyone expected the Lakers to fold after the 2-0 lead the SPURS had. Last year the Lakers could have won on any given day if they choose too. They had the team to do it. No one expected them to beat the SPURS (tied for #1 defense). They did. No one expected the Lakers to beat the Wolves. (they did) Both in six games. I felt that the Lakers had the Team that could have beat detroit too. (im not knockin detroit. They manhandled the Lakers all Four Games. Even in game 2. Detroit deserved the Championship hands down). The Lakers however, imploded on themselves. They played with no heart and besides Kobe and Shaq, no one showed up to play. Plus half of the roster was injured. No Horace Grant(rebounds), No Karl Malone(rebounds), Groin injuries(fisher), and fatigue set in from a tough west conference playoff. But the Lakers beat a top NBA defensive Team in the SPURs, and I see no reason why they could not have beaten the Pistons if they really wanted to. But they were out hustled and out played, simply because they choose not to show up.
bah. everyone thought the Lakers were done when the spurs were up 2-0. Dont lie everyone. its true. Even I had my doubts. But the Lakers pull thru beat the defending champs then went on the beat the #1 seed in the Wolves.
