<div class="quote_poster">Quoting r4shox01:</div><div class="quote_post">Definitely need tweeks, but they will be major changes to the core of the team. A decision on Christie, Jackson and Peja must be done. Peja has come up short the entire playoffs, one miraculous performance cant erase an entirely pathetic series. Peja may be the best shooter in the game, but u gotta have a back up plan if you gotta guy blanketing you for an entire series, you have to be able to adapt and changer your game. The Kings have so many shooters, what about a Peja for Rashard Lewis deal? This would give the Kings a young athletic small forward who would take pressure of the Kings frontline, and allow more athleticism on the team, something which was drastically exploited against the Wolves. Now as far as Jackson and Christie go, if you can package Christie and picks for a defense orientated bench player or young guard, Jackson and be inserted into starting line and will allow a faster paced, more athletic lineup for next season.</div> The Kings definetly have to make some decison's now..I Believe there going to keep most of the players intact,a tweak here and there, but these changes won't really be drastic, but there gonna set the tone of next year,so all us Kings fans can do is wait, and see what's next for us!
The Kings have been looking strong for a few seasons now with its core, but they don't seem to be able to win when it matters. I say trade Webber, Christie and Bobby Jackson for future draft picks and young talents, and use the cap space they cleared up to sign a few key FA's. In 2 years, I expect their new group to challenge for the title...again.

GW? he has contributed absolutly squat to this team with the exception of a few hightlight reels and only when the game is not in doubt (be that a win or a loss) jabari smith could be replaced by another C/F player that could make a solid contribution. bring in someone who has been playing solid off the bench already. (heres a great idea.. dump wallace and and smith, then bring back Keon Clark if i remember correctly his contract with the suns is up this year) i dont like the idea of trading webber for several reasons... but if that is what has to be done. then do it & get it over with. geoff petrie is a mastermind at putting a team together and ill defer to his opinion on that one. and if they are not going to make any offers to solid defensive personnel they cant really get rid of christie (and he is under contract thru next season i believe) christie, stojakovic and webber are all signed thru 06 and jackson thru 05. with the current lineup and contract structures, it would make more sense for them to keep the current lineup and make changes to the bench rather than the core players.
Webber has absolutely no value. He's not the Karl Malone type. He wont provide any team with what their seeking. Webber is here for the duration of his contract. Bibby is the only real clutch player on this team. Jackson provides a much needed defensive spark. Christie had a good series against the Wolves, but hes getting up in age and this has to be addressed. I presonally think hes a great player, but using him and picks or something to get a more athletic as a team on the whole seems more logical. In addition, Vlade has to be let go in order to create the Miller-Webber tandem that I thought was gonna run wild this season. Use Christie and Peja (and older veteran and a shooter in his prime) to get more athletic. I seriously believe that these two players can be used to get significantly more athletic. You can sign shooters, there are plenty out there. The bench has to be reloaded. This isnt the team that featured Hedo, Bobby and Jimmy Jackson, and Scottie Pollard. The bench was so depleted, and in reality, the Kings only had 3 guys they legitimately used consistenly all season. By moving Vlade as well, you can develop Darius Songalia into a double-double guy who will definitely complement a deeper bench.

I Don't think trading Webber is the Answer myself, but if we were able to draft some good youngsters,it would definetly help the Kings out in the long run...if next season has our Vets injured like this past season, than we would need some "insurance policies" to help out But overall, this Kings squad will probably stay intact
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post">I don't see how the Sacramento Queens are going to move that massive contract by Webber. I'm sure any team realizes this man is not at 100% with plates in his legs, and possibly won't be the same again. No team will take that kind of a risk. Vlade Divac has to go. 36 years old, did all he could to help the Queens with his leadership capabilities, but his offensive game is finished. Doug Christie could leave as well. It's time for the Queens to go out and get big name players who are willing to step their games to different heights in the playoffs, including critical Game 7's. Because from the performances I saw especially from Peja, Webber, and Bibby, this team doesn't have it. Time for the hated Maloofs to turn the tide a bit.</div> <strike>Your little childish remarks make your post quality sink to negatives.</strike> - Personal Attacks Are Not Allowed (wave)
#1 Rule in business... You can't keep putting the same failed product out there and expect a different result. Major changes need to be made. Otherwise the Kings will continue to be nothing more than a flashy and competitive regular season team. That's the facts Jack. I think Ginobili would fit in perfectly in Sacramento.
I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do to make the Kings go to the next level Here's a suggestion to the Maloofs: Bring more DEFENSIVE players to SAC-TOWN Will they Listen to that?...they should!
