Andys only mistake has been the LBs, they have said forever that the LBs were the least important position, and now thats haunting them. THey have sucked vrs. the run for almost 2 seasons now, and NOW NOW they make the adjustments. this season i bet we go for a top LB available because look at our LBS Dhani Jones-Cut by NYG and cannot make an open field tackle NAte Wayne-cut by GB, i think hes having a better year this year than lasts, and he has played better then Dhani IMO Trotter-Cut by Wash. finally gets to start where he is supposed to be Mark Simenaeu-Couldnt crack Atlantas starting lineup maybe our 2best LBs after Trotter are Ike Reese and Keith Adams, but if u put them in then u hurt our ST which has been the best part of our team this year I think Dhani needs to learn how to make an open field tackle, he hasnt made one since hes been here and he just hits the ball carrier with his arms and falls forward like he tripped, NAte Wayne has been playing better than last year. Now its going to be Trotter at MLB Simenaeu at WILLand Jones SAM, maybe thats why Wayne is benched becaause both OLB SUCK and Simeanu cant playSAM I would stick Lewis or Kearse to the TE then just have Trotter, Wayne and Simeanu as ur 3
They're coverage built LB's, not run stoppers. Jim Johnson likes to blitz his secondary alot, so having quick LB's that can get a pick is ideal. It just tends to kick their ass when they face a running team.
how wrong can u be? they all suck at covering, Trotter is a downhill player, he cant cover, simenaeu is more of a speed LB but he can cover, Jones and wayne are WILL LBs, they arent meant to cover. how many picks are between them in the last 2years? 2 maybe
This is why eagles wont win super bowl, cant stop run, and thier defense is built on gimmicky blitzes. Playoff teams are going ot be able to run and have qbs who can beat the blitz.
You need to stop the run first...that's just the general rule of defense. If you can't stop the run, that allows the other team to play a time possession game on you, which is almost a certain loss.
what about the 9 straight wins last year allowing a 100yard rusher?????? the run didnt kill us last year in the playoffs either, it was our WRs that kept us from the SB
Trotter isn't a starting LB, well, he might this week, but I wasn't including him. I never said Jones or Wayne were good coverage backs, but that's really what they're supposed to do
no he isntwith the skins cause he was overpaid, and not fitting into their system, hes more of a downhill player and they had him in coverage...
