lets see if the rest pan out.

Friday afternoon, Petrie had a press confrence and confirmed that Adelman will be back next season.

Along with that he expressed that he is happy that the core of the team is under contract for next year and there will not be drastic changes next season. Now, what he means by drastic, who knows. He did say that there would be some changes however.

Some changes should always be expected and that is what the offseason is for. I'm glad he has decided to keep this core together, he would be foolish not to. I hope he explores the option of trading Webber. I don't know if anyone would be willing but it wouldn't be a bad idea to explore.

Stojakovic, Christie, Bibby and Miller all have years remaining on their contracts so they will probably stay. Petrie has said that Divac was 'the heart and the soul" of the team so they will most likely do everything to resign him. The only big name that would be invovlved in a trade would be Webber: he has recently declared that he really appreciated the players but on the other hand, he also was quite resentful of all the booing he suffered from the crowd at some games..

Changes will be made, and i'd like to see some more defensive players with us next year...it's great that Adelman is sticking around, and we have our stars like Webber,Bibby,Peja here still

What move is next for the Kings??

what about a trade with portland to get ruben patterson, he is a defensive demon and a very underrated player? because artest and ben wallace are certainly not available this year.

    sure there is

    wallace
    smith
    buford
    peeler

any of them are expendable given that you get something good in the way of defence as a return. the other problem that is going to happen that some have not thought of...
where are any role players going to get minutes from? especially if they are not solid defensive contributors or can score points in a real hurry? we all know that adelman doesnt go that deep in his bench very often

No way Petrie lets a guy like Patterson in the lockeroom. Besides, why would you want him? One bad game from Kobe and Patterson thinks he owns him. He's overrated, if anything.
