Yeah, he is the ugliest kid I've ever seen [IMG]

He is huge, and he is only 18. Maybe he will continue to grow, maybe 7'5".

From what I heard, this guy's stats are somewhat underwhelming. He reportedly averages a mere 10 rebounds per game. That is low for a 7-3 center playing against 6 feet Korean high school scrubs.

Yeah, 27 ppg and 10 rpg isn't that impressive.

Well considering Yao averaged 33 and 19 against similar competition, Seung-jin's rebounding numbers aren't very good

LMAO. That sure could be right. He has the looks to be a Bateer. <font size="-2">(I don't mean to offend anybody)</font>

[IMG] Rahh [IMG] man this thread stuck out like sore thumb. 7'3 and 328lbs wow. He should be averaging Wilt Chamberlain like rebounds at that size. 22.6 on minium. [IMG]

Folks, keep in mind that this isn't America where he's playing.

He's playing TEAM BALL overseas. That means, despite his size, he's being groomed to play the game THE RIGHT WAY. He's not being told to do whatever the hell he wants out there, as long as the team wins, like many american prospects are treated.

He's still very young and has only been playing basketball a short while. If this guy comes over, he'll be a force in a much shorter time than guys like Curry, Brown, etc., because he's being held back at the betterment of the team.

I have posted about him in the Celtics Forum, thinking that he's a perfect project player to take. Young, easy to groom and still humble enough to LEARN.

I was just playing about that 22.6 rpg a game. But even though he's being taught the right way to play, he still should be averaging more then 10 rebounds. Isn't the right way for a young man his size is to rebound with a bit more effientcy? Oh well, we'll see how he does.

This should help paint a better picture of what I mean about him:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jin put up 34 points and 20 rebounds in 35 minutes as his team dominated Kimhae Kaya High School 100-76 in the league semifinals. On the same day, Jin played in the high school championship game, and finished the game with 16 points and 11 rebounds in only 16 minutes as he led his team to victory 114-92. All this was in the Korean High School Championship Tournament. Due to his team's sizable lead in the first quarter (30-19), Jin was benched until the 4th quarter where he came back to play 6 minutes; Jin was awarded as the MVP of the tournament.

Under South Korean rules, he was eligible to play for Yonsei University in a tournament last year as an incoming freshman, even without finishing high school. He averaged 12.6 ppg, 8.6 rpg and 1.6 bpg in seven games and Yonsei won the national college title.</div>

Whoa! Hmm, thanks for giving us his numbers and I see that he does all that in limited minutes. That's pretty impressive.

    http://www.draftcity.com/haseungjin.htm

If you click on the tabs below his profile area, you can get alot of scouting info on him. He's a project, to be sure and he could end up with growth related injuries like alot of guys his height develop, but right now I'd want the C's to draft him.

Hm, after doing more research on Ha, I suppose the kid would be better than Bateer. I wonder how much better though. Not better than Yao I don't think. Maybe he can turn out to be someone like Ostertag.

Nonetheless, not a bad pick for a second rounder. Its like the Knicks picking Vranes mid second round, its worth the risk and if it doesnt work out, then you didnt pass up on much.

Wow, Ostertag. I sure hope he turns out alot tougher then Ostertag and doesn't get ragged on by his teammates and coach like Tag did years ago.

Lol standing ver... I guess what I meant to say is I hope he turns out to be at least a just under 10 and 10 center but actually likes to bruise around... don't know who would be a good comparison?

This guy will be a huge project for whoever drafts him. I cannot even see him being that great, his most likely outcome will be like Wang Zhizhi.
