If you could change anything about the Bobcats right now what would you change?

I would change the team colors. I just dont think its the best selection of colors. Personally, I like UConn's uni's it would be nice to base the uni's off of UConn's colors.

 

I would change the name. They should have a more unique name.... bobcats are like high-schoolish.

 

I would change there location instead of charlotte why wont it be a midwest state like missouri or that they are never known for a team.

 

there name and the colors seem like a college team. i would also change the name and the colors.

 

I would change location so they would be in Canada and in Edmonton cuz live there, ( i know it's a fantasy but w/e ) and i would change there colors and the name sounds highschoolish like someone said.

I remember when they were deciding the name, they gave fans choices like bobcats, flight, dragons, and some other gay thing

all the names sucked...

 

I don't like the name aswell. I think the Charlotte Venom or the Charlotte Thunder would be better names.

Personally, I like the jerseys the way they are.

I think Charlotte is a good place to have this team because, as we all know, there already has been a team there and it had good attendance and pretty good success.

Why would you change the owner?? Bob Johnson is a great owner. What are you talking about?? I wouldn't change ANYTHING about the Bobcats. We will have a great team next year (statistically) and I'm looking forward to attending as many games that I can. The colors are unique (thank God), and the name may sound high-schoolish to some....but what about names such as the "Lakers" (what the hell is a Laker) or the 76'ers (at least our team isn't named after a #)(yes, I'm sure there is some kind of historical anecdote to the "76'ers" name....but, their team name is still a #)......how about the "Clippers"...ooooohhh scarrry!!! I mean, the Bobcats beat those names easily!

Ya'll got Toronto Raptors, Hawaii has jack. They should relocate to Honolulu Hi. cyke, it would be to much travel for a team. But it would be nice to have some kinda real professional team over here.

 

Idea #1 -

I would change the head coaching vacancy into Eric Montross. Then I would change the colors to pink and purple. I'd make it so the home jerseys were pink with purple lettering and trimming, and the away jerseys were purple with pink lettering and trimming. After those two changes were made, I'd fire Johnson and let someone more true to the state of North Carolina own the team - like Clay Aiken. The mascot would also have to be changed to a Rosie O'Donnell. Then last but not least, I'd move them to Boston.

Idea #2 -

I would change to coaching vacancy to the members of the recently broken up band Phish. I would make the jerseys tie-died. Then I'd move the team to Mexico City or Vancouver and make the owner Stevie Miller. The mascot could be Jerry Garcia.

I'd be in favor of either idea.

 

^ They picked "Bobcats" because the owner is Robert "Bob" Johnson. I thought it was a dumb name also, and I also remember the poll with lousy names, they were so bad that I think I actually voted for the name to be the Dragons. The team colors are fine as they are IMO, they use a bright orange and it looks pretty sick.

The Lakers were named in Minneapolis because there are 1000 lakes there. The 76'ers were named because of their historical event which took place in 1776. I think everyone should know what that event was. The Clippers were named that because they were originally started in San Diego where there are many clipper boats there. Just thought I'd share the meaning of those names with you.

put the location something like Armenia or Russia..
it would be nice to have a pro basketball team their and their also very nice countries.

they called it Bobcats because the owners name is Bob.

That is one of the dumbest things i've heard on this board. No offense, but did you even think before you typed that? Why would an NBA team be placed in Russia? The travel would be Waaaaaayyyyy to long which makes it a lot more difficult.

We should at least keep NBA teams in this continent, I mean imagine the players on that team having to travel 20000 miles every couple days to get back to Russia? Do I hear someone saying "Jetlag"?

Dude, why would the Bobcats change their name to Panthers when there is an NFL team in our city (Charlotte) with the name Panthers already. Does Carolina Panthers ring a bell?? You know, we made it to the Super Bowl last year??
