Personally I like Iverson at the PG position better as opposed to a SG, he seems to play better at that position and of course Eric Snow/Willie Green are good backups for him. This may mean that either Aaron Mckie/Salmons/Green may be starting SG next season.
I think Snow is doing a good job. He's far from being exceptional but he gets it done, plays consistent and gets his teamates involved. I'm certainly not against AI sharing some minutes at the pg spot but he's not a playmaker and has rather a shoot-first mentality, whatever his passing abilities are. I think a guy with AI's talent would do great at both pg and sg but ultimately, it's about deciding who you would want to start: Snow or Mckie, the latter having just had an off season which is why i would stick with the current starting lineup.
AI plays some PG as it is,if Snow gets in foul trouble or something the Sixers sometimes let AI run the offense but there is no need to switch now its ben like this for years, also Snow is a solid pg,he is not a scorer but he plays D and he is a good passer, although sometimes he doesnt play smart, other than that he is a good fit at pg.
I think they should move Allen Iverson to the PG position next season, if and ONLY they can get a SG that can give them around 15PPG. Allen Iverson would easily become a 20-10 guy. I personally think he would be a little more dangerous playing the 1. But with his scoring ability it would be tough on him to make such a drastic change. It would be a dilemma upon him, from changing his game to a scoring first player to a pass first player. And like B-22 pointed out, Allen Iveson dosen't make the smartest decisions. So I'd say he should just stick to playing the 2.
Actually i think B22 was talking about how Snow didn't make the smartest decisions sometimes and not AI.
They both dont make smart descions sometimes I remember during a close Sixers game versus the Mavs, the Sixers were in overtime and they just stoped Finley from scoring and they were up by 2 well Snow is bringing up the ball and Finley is still coming up court to get back on defense and Snow wasnt aware that Finley was right behind him so Finley ends up ripping him.Its no really a bad decesion, but as a point guard he was lacking floor awarness.
I don't think Allen is up for sacrificing more shots, in the past two years his average has dropped due to his dishing out the ball more. His average has dropped 4-5 points from 31.4 the season before. I think he would be a threat as a 20-10 player, but he is a shooter, has been and will continue on being, there's no changing it. This is where he has exceled at, remember he did play point guard his first 2-3 season, and even though he was a rookie that did nothing for him as a player, and surely as a team.
iverson is not gonna be in philly Everyone is 100 percent sure that iverson will not be in philly next year. Iverson is not happy there and philly is not happy with him there. The sixers are goin nowhere fast. They need to do some serious adjusting and with iverson there nobody there will get any rings.
What are you talking about?Look around in the Sixers thread Billy King has already said that Allen Iverson will be playing for the Sixers next year.

lol, i had to read that 3 times before i realized wat u typed, that is really a joke. billy king has said a million times that iverson is going to stay. and iverson is also a big part of the reason taht jim obrien wants to coach the sixers.
ok back to topic! move ai to pg? first of all: i think ai should have matured enough to run the spot quiete ok. second: is snow a good pg? yes he is. not a top 5 in the league, but in my opinion he is one of the better point guards in the league(think of his playmaking skills and his D) is he a better pg than ai? yes he is! he is a REAL pg and he is the better defender... is he a better player than ai? of course not, a healthy, motivated iverson is a nightmare for most teams, he is scoring, drawing doubleT's and stealing the ball... the problem is: ai and snow together as phillys backcourt just dont work on D! due to ai's lack of size(6'00'' is way to small 4 a sg) snow often has to defend opposing sg and with 6'3'' he is often undersized too. if philly would trade(or use mckie/green as starters) 4 a sg(at 'bout 6'5'') that can shoot and do a little playmaking(maybe lebron has a lil brother ) they would be all fine (at least in the backcourt...)
i assure you that AI will not like being in the PG position, he has always been a SG and he will stay that way. He certainly has the skill to be a point guard, but he does not have the personality to be in that position. He is not patient enough and he looks to score first. Sure, there are some pg in the league like Stephon Marbury that play more of a scorer's role but I don't think a player can easily switch their position in the middle of their career.
I think Ai should play pg so willie green can play sg. Eric snow is just not pg material. Philly needs a person that will help AI score from the pg postion. Sorry eric but you don't belong in philadelphia playa
What do you mean Eric Snow isnt PG material?Just because he isnt really a good scoreer doesnt mean anything,he is top 10 in the NBA in assist and he plays good defense, even Kobe Bryant says he plays good defense.
