<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Michael Jordan wants to buy an NBA team, but he knows it won't happen overnight. ''My mission is to own a team, and I will go through every length to try to obtain that goal,'' he said at a news conference Saturday in Taiwan. ``And until someone's ready to sell a team, I can't steal a team, I can't take a team. I have to be patient.'' The former Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards star was in Taipei to promote his sports apparel brand. He has been to Beijing and Hong Kong and will stop next in Tokyo. Jordan's most recent forays into possible NBA ownership deals included talks last summer with Charlotte Bobcats majority owner Bob Johnson about a role with the expansion team, as well as negotiations with Wisconsin Sen. Herb Kohl to buy control of the Milwaukee Bucks. Only one NBA team, the Phoenix Suns, is on the market. ''Hopefully, in the near future, I can go out and fulfill that dream of owning a basketball team,'' he said. ``And preferably I'd like to do it on the East Coast. That's where I live, that's where I grew up. ``If a good opportunity happens in the West, I'll have to evaluate it to see what place there is for Michael Jordan.''</div> Article
I don't think he'll get a team this season. However, that doesn't mean he won't eventually get his wish.
Lets just put it this way, he will have no problem getting approved by the Owners if he chooses to by a team. I don't think anyone is ready to sell a team at this point however when they are Michael has enough money to make quite an offer to say the least.

I think he should get the Mavericks of the West. They have really bad ownership, maybe he should try for the Celtics if he was to to the East like he wants. One thing's for sure, he probably wouldn't rebuild the Bulls too well. They'll never ever be like he wants them to be.
Shaq and Mike together in Orlando would be nice to see. I hope it will happen but Shaq said he wont retire in the next 5years so that will take a while.
Michael Jordan, an owner? he can still go back to Chicago for another season and get another ring along with pippen, that's what Jordan being doing since he retired tryin' to convince the 95-96 team to comeback, so they can easily get another ring.
Buy the raptors off of the MLSE, and then Peddie is gone and we have a real front office. Althought, taht wouldn't bode to well for Toronto and the Raptors in general I think.
MJ buying Toronto Raptors and Dr.J as GM? Vince stays with Raptors? 3 best dunkers of all-time apart of one team.
