<div class="quote_poster">Quoting RocketLaunch:</div><div class="quote_post">Yao and any other SG not named Kobe Bryant won't lead the Rockets past the 1st round either. Yao isn't aggressive enough to be a dominant player, throw all the talent out the window if you're not aggressive enough to use it, that's been Yao's short career in a nutshell so far. Besides, Yao was the focus of the offense last season, his numbers went up while every other Rocket's numbers went down.</div> Like I said on the other thread. It's not Yao's time yet, let him develop. If Yao and any other SG not named Kobe Bryant won't lead the Rockets past 1st round in the future, then Francis sure as hell won't be the one also. I'll take my chances with Yao than Francis.

Francis and Yao need some help, not any more super stars but some better scorers, they have the defense to get them to the playoffs not the offense to get them past the first.
Don't you guys remember Drexler? He wasnt as extreme as Tmac, but still, many people thought he was selfish. When he came to Houston, he definitley changed his style of play, his scoring went down a lot, and his assists sky rocketed. Why? Because he figured, After I give Dream his, I can get mine. I cant quote that exactly, but thats the nub of waht he said. Anyways, I think Mobley is dealable, yes Tmac for Mobley = Magic getting screwed, but it could be a 3 team deal, a 4 team deal, Heck, an 11 player deal like Drexler's. Eric Snow, is one of the more role-playing point guards, he has to deal with Iverson day-in and day-out... kinda pity the guy dont u? If we had McGrady, it would be stupid to go and sign another "Steve Francis." Mcgrady scores more, and scores more efficiently. Eric Snow knows when to pass, and when to shoot, and hes not THAT bad at shooting. He can take the mid range jumper, and sink it, but thats a little odd to ask for a point guard. Jay Williams from Chicago, or Chauncey Billups (sp?) from Detroit are people i like, but after Billups missed that 3 against Indiana, I've begun to doubt him. Tyson Chandler from Chicago is another great player, hes like the Mo Taylor that plays defense. And Chandler deserves to start. The solution to defense at the Shooting Guard is simple, get Jim Jackson to play against the opponent. Like against Kobe, Jackson was always there to help, but some of the faster Shooting Guards, Reggie Miller, etc. would get by him too easily. Michael Redd from the Bucks is another person that should be looked into. Hes very unselfish and has a quick shot..
If we can get McGrady and Snow on the same team to work with Yao, it'd be great. How about we send Francis and Taylor to Orlando for McGrady and Mobley to Philly for Eric Snow. I know Philly might not do it but we could tempt them with a few future draft picks.
if houston can send francis and mobley packing and get tmac and a PG such as snow, that would definitely work. tmac and snow combined would probably take as many shots as francis and mobley combined. And i dont think tmac is quite the ballhog people make him out to be. He took a bunch of shots in orlando cuz he had to, but he still managed 5-6 assists a game.

Yao is the future, not Francis. Winning games now is nice, but I'd rather lose a little right now if that's what it takes for Yao to develop and improve faster.
If T-Mac goes in Houston it would be a very stupid thing because he has learned his offence with Magic players, I think T-Mac should be in a team with Vince Carter, (his cussin.)

Just cuz you learn one offense doesn't mean you can't play in another. Look at cassell, he put up the best numbers in his career in his first year w/ minny. Bibby fit in to sacto right away, as did brad miller.
