Joe Johnson , wow how did I forget about him..I think that guy will be a major guy for the Suns next season unless they get Kobe or T-Mac...you can bet that kid will average 15+ ppg , 5+ apg at least.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kaillou:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Bosh - He had a good year, but I expect him to REALLY step up his game next year, especially after bulking up in the offseason. Kwame Brown - He showed signs of breaking out this year, and I think he'll be a legit 18-10 threat next year. Stromile Swift - If he gets to go to a team where he gets a lot of PT, he can be a force. Kareem Rush - With the possibility of him going to the Bobcats, I think he can be a pretty good player. Wrack up 15 points a game, and dish out 6 assists. Also get a lot of steals. Michael Pietrus - I expect him to start all year, and have a big year next year. He is a legit 14-6-4 threat every nite, those are pretty decent stats. Al Harrington - Seems like we say this every year.. Other guys to consider: Fred Jones, Jiri Welsch, Eddy Curry, Leandro Barbosa. I also expect Joe Johnson and Jamaal Magloire to both have huge years.</div> I like this, I forgot about Pietrus, Jones and Welsch, I really think they can get it, and I think I already mentioned Lampe. I don't know if Bosh can, because I don't think his improvement can be that drastic, but we'll see.
I'm gonna go out on the limb and say Casey Jacobson...nothing to really back that up, I'm just going with gut
Mike Dunleavy, Jeff Foster and Tyson Chandler. I also expect good things out of Kwame Brown. He has shown glimpses of what he can be, he just has to be a lot more consistent. Hopefully he works on his game in the offseason.
i dont think fred jones can win it , i mean he mite avergae a good 10 4 and 4 but i dont think thats good enuf to get u the mip, theres just too many talents on the team. unless he starts i dont really see him winning that.tyson chandler?i dont think he wil either, he has a bad attitude and look at him. he is so skinny, he hasnt even put any muscle on him yet. i was watching one sixers game against the bulls and marc zumoff says hes one of those guys that u dont want on ur team. pietrus..yea i think hes got a great chance cuz the warriors like him so much and hes got a lotta talents.
I forgot about Jones, I think either he or Harrington can pull it off. The Pacers have an amazing bench. I have high hopes for Curry myself, seeing as he has a chance of becoming like Odom, the poor man's KG. Not next year but in the longterm and in the longrun.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TMac_OwNz:</div><div class="quote_post">Joe Johnson , wow how did I forget about him..I think that guy will be a major guy for the Suns next season unless they get Kobe or T-Mac...you can bet that kid will average 15+ ppg , 5+ apg at least.</div> After averaging 16.7, 4.7 and 4.4 last season, I doubt 15 and 5 will get it done.
Yea that's what I was thinking too, JJ has to get 24 - 6 and 5 or something in those lines to win MIP. What about Radmonovic if Rashard is traded.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">What about Radmonovic if Rashard is traded.</div> I see Vlad, if he is given a permanent role at SF, putting up about 16-8 and 6-8. That probably won't get it done, but you never know.
Rafer Alston will be the MIP he had a good season this year and will have an even better season next year.
Watching Freddie Jones last night made me a believer that he can become a very good player in this league, he is my pick for the MIP award. This guy could easily be a better version of Jason Richardson. When Reggie was sitting down he stepped in and gave Indiana a rush of energy on the offensive end and showed flashes on defense. He knocked down 3 three-pointers which was a huge reason they cut the lead from 16 down to 5 in that 4th quarter. If he isn't starting next season then something is very wrong. Reggie is no longer starter material.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kobe=DaMAN:</div><div class="quote_post">Rafer Alston will be the MIP he had a good season this year and will have an even better season next year.</div> Rafer Alston will be a backup and likely play less minutes that he did this year. He played a lot this year because Wade was injured, and his numbers aren't going to sky rocket anywhere, they'll likely decline a little. I also belive Fred Jones can be pretty good, but I can only see him getting about 28 minutes a game, not the 35-39 minutes most big time starters get, which won't give him enough time to put up MIP desirable numbers. Al Harrington could also do it if he's moved to starting SF and Artest to SG, or Bender if he's traded to a team where he becomes the 6th man, or moved to a starting position. I see Fred Jones with improvements and 30.1 minutes a game next year getting 12.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals. Another guy that can win the award is Rodney White depending on what happens to him and where he ends up.
