I couldn't get the link to work, but this article came off www.thescore.ca
    Here is the article:

    Tracy McGrady
This wasn't how it was supposed to be. Three years ago the team made a bold foray into the free-agent pool, emerging with both "T-Mac" and Grant Hill. Both were signed to seven-year maximum deals. The excitement didn't last long when Hill almost immediately proved to be damaged goods due to a bum knee. Over the past three years the former Piston superstar has played just 47 games. As for McGrady, he has become da man in Hill's absence. Unfortunately, hoops is a team sport and he can't do it all by himself. As a result the Magic have become a one-man-gang and the strain of carrying the team has become too much for McGrady to handle. They'll see how they fare in the draft lottery before they make a move, but what follows are some of the rumors making the rounds:

    To San Antonio
The deal being talked about would see "T-Mac" dealt for Manu Ginobili in a sign-and-trade. McGrady and Tim Duncan would immediately give the Spurs the combined firepower to challenge the Lakers, particularly if Kobe bolts as a free agent. Unless San Antonio sweetens the pot, this deal seems a tad one-sided.

    To Houston
Ever since the Rockets drafted Yao Ming prior to last season, Steve Francis has been sulking. This shouldn't come as a surprise. This is exactly what he did when the Grizzlies drafted him second-overall in 1999. He forced the trade to Houston back then and his bad 'tude is about to force another trade now. "The Franchise" may be talented, but the Magic are probably smart enough to realize they could do better.

    To Phoenix
The two clubs have reportedly spoken with Phoenix offering up Shawn Marion and Joe Johnson. Unfortunately, the Magic want Amare Stoudemire instead of Marion. One of these deals is a real possibility. It could be a win-win for both sides.

    To Detroit
It's unlikely "T-Mac" would be interested in going to a cold climate city like Detroit. He already did that during his first three years in Toronto and didn't like it one bit. If the Pistons come to their senses and cut Rasheed Wallace loose, they would be very smart to make an effort to try and score a true superstar like McGrady.

    Shaq Returns To Orlando
This little nugget has picked up steam in recent days, but that's all it is -- hot air. Shaq may be pals with McGrady, and he'd be a sight for sore eye's in Florida, but all he's really hoping for is some added leverage as he begins talks with the Lakers on a contract extension.

    McGrady Stays Put
Regardless of how the Magic do in the lottery, the plain truth is McGrady may be going nowhere. If the team doesn't feel they are getting value in return they would be foolhardy to pull the trigger on a deal. If they do win the draft lottery, it's entirely possible Orlando will finally be able to bring in that other guy who will finally give T-Mac the help he has been looking for.

No joke there. Orlando would be absolutely insane to take that trade offer.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Unfortunately, the Magic want Amare Stoudemire instead of Marion.</div>

Everything I've seen indicates that Amare isn't even on the table.

That pretty much summarizes my thoughts. With what's out there so far, either the team or the rumored deal has not made much sense, IMO.
