After an exciting season and first ever playoff appearance, it's about time to decide who we think deserves special recognition. Most Valuable Player: Most Improved Player: Best Sixth Man: Best Defensive Player: Rookie of the Year: Play of the Year: Game of the Year: Please post your nominations for each award (elaboration is optional). These are Grizzly only awards, right? Most Valuable Player: James Posey Most Improved Player: James Posey (assuming it's not most improved as a Grizzly) Best Sixth Man: Earl Watson Best Defensive Player: James Posey Rookie of the Year: Nobody. Rookie who will be good in the league for a while? Troy Bell. Play of the Year: Stromile's dunk against Dallas, over Dirk Nowitzki and someone else (Shaun Bradley?) Game of the Year: Atlanta, and the OT sessions.
Here are mine, feel free to argue - Most Valuable Player: James Posey Most Improved Player: James Posey Best Sixth Man: Bo Outlaw Best Defensive Player: James Posey Rookie of the Year: Theron Smith Play of the Year: Bonzi over the shoulder to Stro for the dunk Game of the Year: Cavaliers Game (2 OT)
Eh...Don't know much but I'll add my 2 cents as well. Most Valuable Player: James Posey-huge addition from free agency. His energetic play sparked the Grizz all season. Most Improved Player: Earl Watson-I didn't notice him all that much last season but he seems to be even better than Jason Williams this season. Best Sixth Man: Watson Best Defensive Player: James Posey-Defense...what more can I say except how I wished my Rockets would have kept this guy. Rookie of the Year: None? No rookies really impressed. Play of the Year: Jason Williams' fake pass/layup against the Warriors Game of the Year: Win against Dallas
