For the third time in franchise history, the Magic were awarded the top pick at the NBA Draft Lottery. The NBA Draft will be held on June 24 in New York.
I'm gonna pre-order my Okafor jersey now. That lottery was so nerve-wrecking. Almost gave me a heart attack when the Clippers moved up. Thought they'd get "lucky" again.
I heard Emeka is already having back spasms ,I hope he is healthy having a bad back as a rookie is a bad thing. Most players who have back problems seem to take a while to recover.
I wouldn't say for sure, because Dwight Howard isn't far behind(with some good workouts, he could move to #1) and a trade is always possible for the Magic.
Maybe the Magic will trade the pick for a solid post player and a lower pick... What about this trade: Magic's #1 pick and Grant Hill to the Bulls for Bulls #3 pick, Eddie Robinson, Tyson Chandler and Marcus Fizer.

E.Robinson has an awful contract and he stinks and Chandler and Fizer are flobs..Okafor is a LOT better than both of them.

He's not going to leapfrog Okafor, if for no other reason than everyone knows exactly what they are going to get out of Okafor. Orlando needs help in alot of places, but most especially down low and Okafor is the best option for immediate help.
Well, id say Orlando won Emeka Okafor With Hill comin back, Garrity also, T-Mac, Howard and Okafor looks sweet.

Chandler is just in his 3rd year and is just 22 years old. I agree, he hasn't shown a lot yet, but neither did J. O'Neal at that point in his career. Why not take a chance? I mean, the guy can score, rebound and block shots, and I think when he gets the playing time he will do pretty good.
We need immediate help. That's why we don't take a chance on that trade. Right now Chandler is a bust and Okafor looks like he can immediately help us.
I still think we should trade Howard and others for a top 8 pick , that way we also get a good PG and use those 2 second round picks to backup Gooden and/or Okafor.
gooden should be traded or a 3 . Possibly mike Dunleavy contracts match. And warriors need a PF cuz troy Murphy's career is in jeopardy
We could give future picks, because there is no telling how our future will look, considering Tmac is likely to leave after this year. I'm still doubting that it happens though.
It's to bad we don't know what t-mac wants to do now, because if he wanted to be traded we could draft d howard. we would be in a rebuilding mode sort of any way depends on who we get back.Howard could be ready now.He could be an amare type player in his first year.

I'm thinking they draft Okafor. He's going to be able to make an immediate impact for that team. He could be one of the better centers or power forwards in the East next year as a rookie. But, that doesn't say too much due to the lack of size over there.
