What an up and down game. How many times did Detroit have a 12 point lead just to see it slip away time and time again. 82 to 78 so far and I think the Pistons will be able to finally put this game away.

That referee should get fired. When the defender fakes for the shot, and the offensive player leans into him to shoot while the defender is still in the air, it's a shooting foul. The Pacers would of had a great chance of sending it into overtime or possibly winning it if the referee actually bothered studying his NBA referee book.

Oh well, Detroit got the W. So many clanks though, it was a fustrating game to watch offensively. Both teams have great D but at the same time their both just building mansions of bricks. But Indiana did have the play of the game with Fred Jones dunking over Big Ben. That was syk!!

ESPECIALLY on a three pointer that late in the game. they're not going to bail him out.

Ask Chauncey. They didn't give him the call at least 2-3 times this season.

Man Detroit has a great crowd. I've always heard so much about Sacramento having the greatest crowd in the league, but Detroit's was great tonight. I love watching these low scoring games full of defense, even if it does come with a lot of sloppy ball.

I just seen the replay of the closing of the 1st half where Artest tried to inbound the ball to Reggie but he completey ran in the other direction when Artest passed it. [IMG]

Then why won't they make up their mind, since they called a foul when McGrady did that this season?

IMO, this series is more exciting than the T-Wolves-Lakers. No one knows who's going to win in every single game.

One thing the Pacers do wrong, and I don't see a way that it is going to help them is, that when JT got the ball, they wait and wait, until the shotclock is about 10sec. and then attacking the basket, or get a bad look at the basket and then shoot.
Reggie miller should have got the foul, and hit tree foulshots. The biggest play in the game, was when big ben tipped the ball in, or rasheed gettin the shot and the foul late in the game. Next game, the Pacers must win, or they are in a very deep hole.
And to the detroit fans last night: Shut up , your team has'nt won yet.

This is completely different, this is the playoffs. You don't call fouls like that in key stages of important playoff games. The Pacers came back in the first place due to terrible calls which were in favour of Indiana. Pistons managed to hold on and take an important 2-1 series lead.

Need to win game 4 on friday for this series is to be basically over.

Newsflash, when you go to playoff games the home fans are suppose to make alot of noise. Maybe the people in Indiana should try that one day.

all i have to say about that game last night is LIKE WHOA!!

Detroit totally came with it at the beginning of the game...i will admit it was pretty annoying to see the Pistons get like a twelve point lead just to let it back down to 6 or 5 or 4 or 3 or 2! But in the end they came up with the defensive stops they needed. I myself was COMPLETELY surprised that mr almighty reggie miller didn't get that call late in the game...even though Rip did come back down straight up....i would think they would of given that call to reggie anways just cuz he's Reggie Miller ya know? But they didn't...and im certainly not crying about it....BUT most of Indy's points in the fourth quarter came from the line...i think the refs totally helped them out with that...at least half of the fouls called on Rasheed in that fourth quarter had to be bogus...but Indy went to the line anyway didn't they

Now im a Kings fan...and EVERYONE knows that the Kings have the loudest most hypest fans in the league and its really hard to play at ARCO but those people last night at the PALACE definetly gave the kings fans a run for their money...talking about the pistons coming with it.....THE FANS totally came with it last night....and the Pistons totally needed that...so i applaud the fans....bring that same intensity to game 5 tomorrow to help put this series out of reach for the Pacers

GO PISTONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take it to the house!!

Doesn't matter. You're suppose to call the fouls by textbook, regardless of if you're in the playoffs because a game is a game, and certain games shouldn't have technical rules, that the referees can't blow their whistle on certain fouls.

Again you fail to realise you ca't make those calls that late in the game, you have to let the players win the game for themselves. Just like the Peja against Hassell call was not made. You don't call fouls like that late in playoff games

Oh and for the record It wasn't a foul

When you have a guy like Reggie acted as If he was hit while the Piston defender was straight up, he doesn't deserve to get the call. Mainly because It wasn't an actually foul.

Pacers get there fair share of calls so overall It balences Itself out.

you're being naive if you think every single foul is called by the textbook. i don't necessarily agree, but there ARE make up calls, superstar calls, etc.

if every single foul was called, people would be fouling out very quickly in physical games (like every game in the playoffs).
