Another Big East player, 5-10 point guard Andre Barrett, a quick, strong passer from Seton Hall, has worked out. The Celtics also have worked out 6-9 Missouri forward Arthur Johnson, 6-foot Memphis guard Antonio Burks, and 6-4 Utah guard Nick Jacobson. Terrence Hill, a 6-5 guard from Division 2 national champion Kennesaw State, is due in for a look this week. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> to 6-7 high schooler Dorell Wright, rumored to have received a commitment from Ainge and due in this week</div>. Pure smoke screen, IMO. It's just not at all Dannyboy's style to paint himself into a corner, particularly since Ainge believe's strongly in this braintyping stuff and Wright hasn't even been in to visit yet and therefore, when did he take the test? This whole "early commitment" junk was the type of stuff that the old management did. Dannyboy is distancing the new guard from all that, which leads me to believe that Wright's agent has more to do with this rumor than Ainge does. Or Ainge floated the rumor to draw attention away from his real intentions. I'm not sure which it is, but I have no faith that thre was any early commitment made to ANYONE, as far as the C's go.
I don't understand Ainge's infatuation with all these small forwards and shooting guards. Unless he has some kind of trade in the works, the Celtics have no room or need for another guard/forward. I do like him bringing in Barret though, I think he could be a good choice in the second round. He's a tough PG who can score.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I think they'd deal the 24th and/or 25th pick.</div> Very strong possibility, IMO. If I were a betting man (which I am ) I'd put money on a draft night trade involving the 24, 25 and Yogi's contract.
If I were the Celt's I would trade one of their picks for a future 1st round pick because this is not a very good draft and pick Wright with one of their picks because he seems to be very athletic and he could be a compliment to The Truth and then take the torch from him later in his career
