Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw said she got a call from a friend of Green's on Wednesday saying Green had been injured.

"It was just a shock to hear she had been injured because she had said that her job was going to keep her on the sidelines," McGraw said. "We had been talking to her through e-mail, and until recently, we were under the impression she would be working in a non-combat environment."</div>

Ohh not good. We need to get out of Iraq. We are losing soldiers fast, they are getting hurt and injured. Bush is losing support. THank the Lord it was just her hand, and not her life.
