I get the feeling that some of you have given up hope for us winning the Western Conference Finals. Of course we're in a tight spot, but look at it this way... We win tonight, if it's a blowout or a double-OT one point win doesn't matter. We'll get some momentum going to LA for game six while the Lakers probably will start to think that game six is somewhat of a must win for them, considering game seven is at Target Center. That gives us a fair chance at stealing game six, and head home to finish it off. I'd give us atleast a 20% chance of taking this series. Thoughts, comments?
I still haven't given up on the Wolves. There will always be a chance that they can win this series even if they are down 3-1. They can win 3 straight games even if it's against the Lakers. The Wolves just needs to win the next game and win game 6 at the Staples center even if the Lakers haven't lost a game there in the playoffs. Then there will be game 7 and All they have to do is win at home. Nothing is impossible. The team just has to play with everything they have, play the best that they can. KG can't do it all, he has to have his teammates helping him. No matter how little chance we have, we just got to believe. It isn't over until the Lakers win.
Im pretty sure Twolves have no chance to enter. Sorry, but to be realistic, to be 2 games behind and win the next 3 games ... not very realistic particularly cause of the lack of experience in your team. Id say the next game yeah u got a chance to win but the next next one ... see ya next year
I have given up on them. If it was against a team like Sacramanto, or Dallas then no, but this LA team is too good. They can finish out a team. They can definately come back and win the series, but I don't see it happening. If they are going to have a chance at coming back, they need more than KG. KG does everything of this team, and he needs alot of help.
Well, I too have given up on them. Some people tend to forget that this is Minnesota's first year out of the first round of the playoffs and they don't have the experience yet to overcome such a deficit. And remember, the team they have to make a comeback from is LA, the champions of the NBA 3 of the last 4 years, so realistically, like i said in an earlier thread, it's over. But nothing is impossible, keeping that in mind KG will need to play beyond an MVP but a legend, his teammates too need to help out. I feel as if i contradicted my whole post in just one sentence.
I haven't given up on them yet, but it is a milion in one chance for them to win it seems like. They will probably win tonight...I hope.
Taking it back to Staples............. What happens there happens there.........But it's going back to Staples.
I tell u what...the lakers this season have been extremely streaky. As quickly as they start rolling, they can come to a halt and lose a bunch of games. So I wouldn't totally discount the Wolves, but obviously its highly improbable...

All we need is one strong performance in LA, giving it all this team has. There may be no sam, but a major team effort and minni can pull this out of the hat so to speak. It IS as simple as it sounds. BEAT LA. Come back to minni and make a spot in history. If the twolves can beat the lakers in all the hustle stats and aggressively out play them for 48, look for this to go the distance.. in saying this, i definately haven't given up.
yeah i haven't either...especially after seeing their performance last night...im considering this a team with little playoffs experience and none past the first round...they have managed to escape two elimination games from two completely different teams....and ya can't say that the Lakers were content with letting them win last night...cuz from what i could tell before after and during the game they certainly weren't Minne...is the best road team in the NBA (well them and Indy)...they gotta show everyone exactly why they were....its gonna be EXTREMELY tough....but i know i have the confidence and they have the confidence....they definetly have to beat the Lakers in all the hustle stats like they did last night...and play some solid defense....Hassell was pretty damn good on Kob last night..and i think them deciding to trap him whenever he got the ball was a good idea...and DENY Shaq the ball...cuz now for sure we know that this team wins or loses through Shaq...if Shaq-alack plays like a little girl they aren't gonna win...the Lakers that is KG has to be aggressive and selfish and the team i know would be okay with that...he's gotta play like the MVP like everyone always says...and i agree with Doug Collins between him and Spree they need like 60 points...give or take....and its essential that Spree has a EXCELLENT game like last night...definetly the MVP of last nights game...and the guys off the bench...EVERYONE has to make a contribution...Freddy....Wally....Kandi....Maddog...Tre...EJ...Darrick....and please GOD let Sam Cassell play and play well...cuz Sam is key! If he doesn't then like KG said everyone has to be ready to play and play well with solid contributions on each end of the court...ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!! we all know they aren't gonna get the calls that they need want and deserve in LA...they have to go into knowing that...don't bother arguing calls...its gonna be no help....and i love Flips decision to insert Kandi in the starting line up...i think it showed and proved to be a slighty better fit...not to mention Maddog coming into the game before EJ.....to me made it alot easier to distribute fouls on Shaq...hm....its STILL DO OR DIE for Minne but i don't think they are ready to go home just yet...and the wolves fans want to see their boys back at Target on Wednesday GO MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES...take it the house baby! BEAT LA BEAT LA BEAT LA!!!
Well, There will be a game 6. My thoughts on their game 6 chances are 40%, If Cassell plays they won't win, because he takes too many shots. He is a very good player and I wouldn't mind him shooting in other games, but in this game your stars must take the big shots ( KG, Spree ). The Lakers will be confident coming into game 6 because they're playing at home, and all the emotion will be on their side. But I think that confidence will be their downfall, The Lakers are an experienced team but at times I see over-confidence in them. Also, I don't think Derek Fisher will shoot well this game, as he has been shooting the lights out lately. Overall, the Heart and Desire of The MVP, will carry the Timberwolves into game 7 and at home they will defeat the Lakers again.

Everything you say may sound simple, but the Lakers will win this because they're in their immortal building. The Timberwolves will play their hardest, but the game is going to be decided by a turnover or any error of the 'Wolves.

And Yes I wouldnt want Cassell shooting only because he is injured. I love Cassell when he is healthy and I know what he can do, but wouldnt you rather have a healthy spree or KG shooting than an Injured Cassell? Thats all im saying.
