    1996 was great.

Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Shareef Abdur Rahim, Stephon Marbury, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, Antoine Walker, Kerry Kittles, Peja Stojakovic, Steve Nash, Jermaine O'Neal, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Derek Fisher, and Jeff McInnis.

1984 => Olajuwan, Barkley, Jordan, Stockton... Better than 1996

Yeah, 1984 had the best player ever, one of the best centers ever, one of the best PGs ever, and one of the be st PFsever. Very good.

    2003 was very good.

LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, TJ Ford, Darko Milicic was very good, but it wasn't as deep as 1996.

I think 1999 was the best draft year of recent decade next to 1996. It features the all-stars of today:

    Elton Brand
    Steve Francis
    Baron Davis
    Lamar Odom
    Wally Szczerbiak
    Rip Hamilton
    Andre Miller
    Shawn Marion
    Jason Terry
    Corey Maggette
    Ron Artest
    Kenny Thomas
    Andrei Kirilenko
and with the second to last pick of the draft: Manu Ginobili. Lol what a steal..

The first 9 people I listed are all in the top 10 ranked in order. Jonathan Bender was the only bust at pick #5 ahead of Wally.

1999 had some big time stars. Its deeper than 2003, but I don't think it has the great players 2003 does.

I don't know, I think I would put 1999 ahead of 2003 (for now) and 1996 is a close call.

It'd be interesting to see the players you listed from the 1996 draft play a best of 7 series against the people I listed from 1999

    2003 :

    PG : Dwyane Wade
    SG : LeBron James
    SF : Carmelo Anthony
    PF : Chris Bosh
    C : Darko Milicic [IMG]

    1999 :

    PG : Baron Davis
    SG : Rip Hamilton
    SF : Ron Artest
    PF : Lamar Odom
    C : Elton Brand

    1996 :

    PG : Allen Iverson
    SG : Kobe Bryant
    SF : Peja Stojokovic
    PF : Shareef Abdur-Rahim
    C: Jermaine O'Neal

    1984 :

    PG : John Stockton
    SG : Michael Jordan
SF : Who would it be?
    PF : Charles Barkley
    C : Hakeem Olajuwon

1984 is the best if you are just talking about the best. But depht, 1996 has it.

I think 1996 was the deepest. You could have had Marbury, Ray Allen, Shareef etc. in the lineup.

I'd stick Jerome Kersey in that SF slot.

Kevin Willis, Alvin Robertson and Otis Thorpe were also excellent players from the '84 draft.

The 1983 draft was pretty talented as well.

Ralph Sampson, Clyde Drexler, Jeff Malone, Dale Ellis, Antoine Carr, Byron Scott, Derek Harper, Darell Walker, and Ennis Whatley who didn't have a great career but did have 22 assists twice in his rookie season.

I think it was 1996. That draft had such tremendous talent in it, and, if you look at it, a lot of those have become todays superstars. And, even if they aren't of superstar status, they're still doing something in the NBA and making some type of an impact for their teams.

Both were good drafts og, but I don't think they matchup with the others. 1998 definately doesn't.

1999 I like it a lot..specially in those teams...defensive player of the year...plus b.diddy and rip...then you have odom and brand? I think more celebrities in 96 but this team could defenetly beat them.

I'd go w/ the 1998 draft, there's tons of talent packed up in there.

Kandi, LaFrentz, and Ruben Patterson aren't anything special... we all know how Kandi is one of the biggest #1 busts ever.. Ruben hasn't shown anything special.. LaFrentz is decent at best. 1999 is way better than 1998 for sure and would give the 1996 class a good run if they ever play against each other. Better overall talent and not spiky like 1996.
