I wasn't really naming players that were stars, just the guys that have done something, but

1998:

Bibby*
Jamison*
Carter*
Jason Willams
Hughes
Nowitzki*
Pierce*
Bonzi
Harpring
Ricky Davis
Al Harrington
Rashard Lewis
Cuttino Mobley

That's 13 pretty good players, not too bad.

1999:
Brand*
Francis*
Baron*
Odom*
Wally
Rip*
Andre Miller
Marion*
Maggette*
Artest*
Kenny Thomas
Kirilenko*

12 pretty good players, has more star players though

u no wat i think? i think that for the all star weekend, the nba shud come up with a different theme each year like the best of 96' draft play best of 99' draft. and then the next year come up something different

No doubt 1996 has been the deepest but 1984 gave us (fans) Micheal Jordan along with Olajuwon and other greats so I think 1984 is the best.

1984 :

PG : John Stockton

SF : Who would it be?
PF : Charles Barkley
C : Hakeem Olajuwon

1984 is the best if you are just talking about the best. But depht, 1996 has it.

I think 1996 was the deepest. You could have had Marbury, Ray Allen, Shareef etc. in the lineup.

SG Jerry Stackhouse/Michael Finley
SF Kevin Garnett/Joe Smith

From the ones I've seen (meaning the last decade or so), the best draft I saw was 1996. I actually still have it on tape....and yes, i occasionally go back and watch it for fun...It is actually quite interesting to see things in hindsight...

I would go with the 1984 NBA Draft as well. Most of them are future hall-of-famer such as Stockton, Malone, Olajuwon, and of course, Michael Jordan. It isn't that much in depth, but still has the best players.

84 is the best so far......96 is the deepest.....03 might eventually be able to challenge them if they continue to develop

I still think the 99 draft was the deepest. So many of the guys out of that draft are starters and put up big time numbers for their team. Brand, Davis, Miller, Odom, Marion, Francis, Hamilton, Szczerbiak, Maggette, Artest, Terry, Posey etc.. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!!! That draft was unbelievably deep.

84

Hands down the 1984 draft class as the best. Three of those players are MVPS. Only AI has an MVP for '96. Kobe and JO might get one, but are all of them going together have more than Jordan's 5?

Hakeem and Jordan lead their team to the championship, no one from the '96 class has done that. Kobe was 2nd fiddle to Shaq is the best you're gonna get.

Hakeem has the most blocks ever. Jordan has the highest scoring average ever. Stockton has the most steals and assists ever. Jordan is the 2nd in all time steals. Hakeem is 11th in rebounds, Barkley is 15th, and Kevin Willis is 19th....these players are just amazing...
