When MJ crossed that one guy up on the Jazz for the game winning shot, did he push him? My friends said he did but uhhh... It looked like he barely touched him

Bryon Russell and it just was a lil shove and I don't feel like nothing should've been called myself.

They're showing it right now over here. They're on the freethrow dunks between Dr. J and MJ. But what about Brent Barry, he jumped farthest. Where's the love? [IMG]

Carmelo kinda needs to learn how to read the cue cards better. He's struggling alot really.

Why does everyone forget about the bad officiating in game 6 of the 1998 finals? The Jazz only lost by 2 (I think it was), the two mis-called 24 sec. violation cause the Jazz the finals, b/c we know they would of been no way in hades for the Bulls to win in a Game 7 at the Delta Center.

For those that don't know or can't remember that far back, Howard Eisley shot a three with time on the shot clock and swished it, but was called a shot clock violation. Then later on in the game Ron Harper shot a three pointer after the shot clock buzzer had gone off, yet no shot clock violation was called. That a six point swing and I didn't even mention how Jordan ripped the ball away from Malone or how he pushed Bryon Russell. After the game Isiah Thomas was saying how the game was poorly officiated, and you know the game wasn't called right if Zeke was in favor of John Stockton and Karl Malone. If they ever do the most rigged game in NBA history game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals would be number 1.

I didn't see the whole game because I didn't really care who won. I see you remember vividly, especially being a Utah fan and all. Well if I had cared who won, I would have to agree with you on it being the most rigged game by what you have posted.

I just seen the 52nd best play with the Pacers and Bulls. When Jordan shot rimed out on the analysts kept on saying it RIMED OUT! IT RIMED OUT! IT RIMED OUT!. He sounded like Lil Jon. [IMG]

what was wrong with the strip on malone, he got nothing but ball??? and refs swallow the whistle down the stretch, and you dont really expect the refs to give russell a call over jordan do you?

LOL, i'm no Utah fan and I agree with spark 22 about what a ripoff that game was. Jordan definitely shoved Russell... does anybody believe that if Russell had shoved Jordan the refs would not have called it? Scripted by David Stern.

Jordan over Ehlo, that I'm Ok at #1.

i still think "the last dance" was better than "the shot" due to the circumstances. regardless of what happened during the rest of the game, utah had a perfectly good chance to win that game had malone not turned the ball over. you gotta remember, chicago was down 3, utah couldnt make a stop on jordan, jordan made a stop on malone, and the rest is history.

Malone did get stripped cleanly, and I've seen Jordan's shot so many times and still don't think that Russell could have made a play at the ball at all. He was afraid of Jordan driving into the lane (especially since there was ~3 secs left when he took that shot) and overcompensated ;[

I just watched the show(s), and I can't believe Stockton's shot in game 6 of the 1997 Western Conference Finals wasn't in there? what are they crazy? But was it me or was all the trivia question really really easy, why can't Western Civ be this easy? Also it seemed every highlight had either Jordan or Bird in it.

About Game 6 in 1998, its one of two games I wished could be replayed with fair officiating (the other being the Boys Area 13 Championship of Alabama 3-A Playoffs in 2003). But if you look at the circumstances, David J. Stern had to let the Bulls win, Jordan had all ready basically said he was quitting and the Bulls basically being disassembled after the season, how else to let the "greatest" leave than to win a championship? Also, the 6 point swing on shot clock violations (something all Jazz fans remember) is why we lost the series. Plus Jordan's "steal" on Malone, I've never seen a replay of the steal from the other angle, its always from Malone's backside where you can't see the play on the ball. And when anyone brings up the "push-off", I always agree with cubanballer if it was the other way around would of Russell been call with an offensive foul?
