The New York Post's Peter Vecsey cites a source close to Bryant as saying, "I know he wants out of L.A. in the worst way.

"If he goes, it wouldn't surprise me if Kobe chooses between the Suns and the Spurs."

Vecsey's source also indicates that the Clippers may have a long shot at acquiring Bryant, but that the Nuggets and Jazz "have no shot." </div>

I like the sound of Kobe going more rather than TMac. Regardless of the Spurs and Lakers rivalry, he'd fit in well, he's a great all around player. He obviously has better defense and definitely boards and passes a lot more, not to mention the fact that he responds better on offense against zone defense. There is one slight advantage I'd truly give to McGrady but would still have me take Kobe instead, his height, being tall whilst being a scorer is an invaluable asset, it could help, but Kobe's better overall game would be much more welcome. Also he and Duncan are friends, that's always a plus.

Kobe is listed at 6'6", but is probably 6'7". Tracy is listed at 6'8", but is really 6'9". Whats the big difference in 2 inches?

It seemed T-Mac was SA bound , but he's said he wants more of a challenge. With Houston being his first choice and with Indi and Detroit also in consideration...so I don't think he'll be coming here.

And as much as I'd like Kobe here I dont think it will happen either...if he came here he still wouldnt have his own team it would still be Timmy's , he would have to wait longer for this to be his team--in LA he can wait 3 yrs at the max for shaq to retire and then its all his , here he'd have to wait another 5-10 yrs before Timmy hands the team over to him or before Tim retires , and LA will also offer more bucks...there really is no reason for him to leave unless his relationship with the players , coaches , and organization in general is real bad...hopefully it is.

Our turn to land a big name will come tough...no big names used to consider SA and now u have guys like Kidd , T-Mac , and Kobe strongly considering coming here...trust me it wont be long before San Antonio gets their 2nd superstar.

I never normally take any notice to what Peter Vecsey has to say but he was the guy who broke the news about Rasheed to the Pistons so that just proves he is not always 100% wrong

On this occasion I fail to see either Mcgrady or T-mac heading to San Antonio. Neither want to be in the situation of being the 2nd option to another superstar. You may think T-mac would love to on a championship team but he wants to be on a team that he knows that can win where he would still be the focal point within the offense. That just wouldn't be the case at the Spurs

Kobe is far worse in that reguard, he seems tired with being in the shadow of one superstar, yet wants to go to a team where the same will happen again? not happening.

Kobe will either stay in L.A and wait for Shaq to get even older, then retire or go to the Suns and be the go to guy while playing with a future stud power forward, a young quick small forward and a very talented backcourt.

The same applies to Mcgrady with the above.

I dont think its going to happen i can only wish that both players
consider the Spurs and have T-MAC as SF and Kobe as SG
    Imagine this starting five?

    PG T. Parker
    SG K. Bryant
    SF T. Mcgrady
    PF T. Duncan
    C M. Camby

Hey the Lakers did it why can't the Spurs do the same. I know this isnt going to happen but how sweet will this be

Your crazy lol. I don't know about Kobe as a laker I hate him with extreme passion. What would I do if he was on my team? I have no idea yet but I don't think I have anything to worry about.

Not enough basketballs in the game to make this team work... You'd need at least 2.

    easy just tell them that
they have a better chance on winning a title
here and then they will take a pay cut just like
    two losers(Malone,Payton)from the Fakers.
but its not like i said this was going to really happen.
