Western Conference Finals Game 6: Wolves @ Lakers I couldn't find a thread for this game, so I just went ahead and created one. I look for the Lakers to end this series tonight in L.A. The Wolves put up a good fight in game 5 but I think the Lakers will come out agressive to end this thing. Look for Shaq to set the tone early on along with Kobe. From what I read earlier off ESPN Fisher might not play tonight so Gary will need to step up big. Sam Cassell will also be sitting out this game. I'll take the Lakers by 11.

I feel sorry for Garnett. What a terrific season. He undoubtedly had the best one. I know he'll win atleast 1 championship in his career.
KAREEM RUSH!!! But Kobe Bryant with the disgraceful bank freethrow. :mrgreen: J/K but good come back. But dag, they couldn't get 99 like I predicted. Oh well, great season for Minnesota. Kinda feel sorry for them, but still a great season for them as they made me worry that they might actually take this to a deciding game 7 coming into the 4th quarter.

you're basing it off speculation. i'm basing this off actual play. the numbers and personal achievements of these two don't even come close. MJ achieved way more in his 8th season than kobe has (aside from the rings that came courtesy of shaq). And at this age, MJ had better numbers and comparable accolades.
I think the main reason LA won Game 6 is because of Kareem Rush he had 6 threes and a lot of them were key threes. I think if Detroit makes the playoffs then they might have a chance,Chauncey Billups and Gary Payton almost equal out but I give the edge to Chauncey because he is younger and quicker,Kobe Bryant and Rip Hamilton ,that will be intresting,Rip is on a hot streak and I will be looking foward to see these players go head to head,Sheed and Karl Malone, I dont think Sheed will let Malone play dirty on him,Shaq and Big Ben ,I think its possible that Ben Wallace may be able to coup with Shaq sometimes through out the series but Shaq will most likely get the better of him.It seems to me like the Pistons matchup pretty good with the Lakers,I am going for Detroit because I think they have the better chance to beat the Lakers.

Took KG nine seasons to finally get out of the first round. He needed Sam and Spree to finally get out. KG only won MVP only cause of Sam and Spree. KG ain't jack without Sam and Spree. Michael's stats are obviously better than Kobe's stats because of the fact that Kobe never had the freedom like MJ did. Oh yeah what happened when Phil finally gave Kobe the opportunity to show us? He avg. 42+ ppg in Feb 2k3. You say Kobe couldn't win without Shaq and MJ did it alone? Are u stupid? MJ couldn't have won without Phil and Pip. Also, you could make the same claim about Shaq not being able to win without Kobe. NM it ain't a claim its a fact. I seriously hope that Kobe will get to lead his own team one day so he could show everyone how stupid you are saying that KG is better than Kobe. Lets see in five or six years if people will be saying KG is better than Kobe. Or even Jordan.
Spree is pretty out of line with that comment, but don't discredit Garnett either JLee. Garnett is a great player and I don't think anyone not named Tim Duncan can get any further than him alone. I'd take Kobe over Garnett any day too though. Mainly because he is my favorite player, but I just think his talent and will to win is uncomparable with anyone else in the league today.

It was a dissapointment that KG didnt win MVP last year when sam n spree weren't in minni so how u gunna say he ain't jack? And look who's talking, not only does kobe have Shaq, but also Payton and Malone.. every star needs his supporting cast and put Kobe in KG's position and you will not get as good a result. I can accept a difference of opinion but personally when we're speakin of individual play, either way KG is the leagues MVP, regardless of his surroundings.
