May I be the first to say, Good Game and Good Luck. Anyone who knows basketball knows that, even if the Pacers have home-court advantage, I wouldn't expect them to beat the Lakers. BUT, the Pistons have alot of strengths that may give the Lakers problems. I really hope to see BIG BEN and Shaq, Malone and Wallace and such. You guys had the reserves that showed up in this game and helped carry you to the next level, that's what makes a GOOD TEAM.

We (TimberWolves) had a good season. But Malone and Payton ( mainly Malone) was hungry for the ring.

The Pistons would put more pressure on the Lakers from winning the title rather than the Pacers. Doesn't matter anyways. Lakers are winning it, and Payton and Malone win it through the cheapest way possible.

Don't wanna get ahead of myself. But Chungster is right, Lakers will win again. It's not certain that the Pistons will come out. If they want to, they better do it tomorrow, because uncle Reggie won't allow the Pacers to lose at home for a 3rd time. If the Pistons come out, I say Lakers in 6. If the Pacers come out, Lakers in 5.

So let Rudeezy root for the Pacers and the Lakers will have another ring on their hands.

So you guys don't believe the Pistons can take the Lakers? I'm not so sure anymore. Ben will be the closest thing to Mourning in holding Shaq. Remember, Malone will have to play out of the box because Sheed can stroke the 3. Hamilton has been raising his game in every series of the playoffs.

What's with you and the criticizing of Malone and Payton?! They both gave up alot of stuff to come to LA and pursue the title!

    Malone:
    Money
    friends in Utah
    possibly the scoring title

    Payton:
    Money
    Friends
touches of the ball and shot attempts
...and do you know how much houses cost out here?!

Instead they (Malone) put their loyalties aside to win the title. They just hopped on the Laker bandwagon [IMG]

And he's been complaining all season.

Do you know how much money he has?!

I do understand why they left their teams, they have been in the league long enough and deserve a title. However, it's a two way street.

Initially, I agreed with you ICE because I felt like this. Gary's was traded from the Sonics, so I had no ill will with him going to the Lakers. But Karl said flat out that he wanted to win like a man and didn't want to ride anyones coattails. The Lakers were like "we have an opening with minimal pay" and Karl was like "Sign me up". But when you look at it, The Lakers were a better defensive team and probably would not have beaten the Spurs without Karl. The "chair pull" took Duncan out of his game and changed the Spurs dimensions. So I'm kinda torn on Karl. But I loving the Pistons.

Touches? Hasn't he been bitching about not getting the touches he wants all season?

Money? No one was going to give him much more if I remember correctly. He is at the end of his career and him and Malone wanted to jump on the Laker banwagon to get a title when they could never do it with their respective teams.

Both of them are already rich. You think they gave a crap when they got a huge pay-cut? I don't know what you mean by friends, as it has nothing to do with the business of the NBA. Malone said himself that he doesn't care about his points, as his only priority is to win a championship. Why did Stockton not want to go to another championship-caliber team to win a championship? It's because he's loyal to his team, and he wouldn't want to hurt his legacy as a Jazz by going to another team and making you known as Laker more than a Jazz. Name me atleast one other player besides Malone and Payton, who have went to another team for a quest to the championship.
