by winning 69-65 in game 6 of the conference finals Rip Hamilton came up in the clutch with 21 points Ben Wallace and Sheed dominated the boards, as they came back from a 13 points down in that first quarter to claim victory Onto the finals the Pistons go to face the Lakers this could be a great series ahead.
Yeh it will be very interesting to see the Lakers and the Pistons. I think the Lakers will win it all in game 6 4-2.
Time for my small comeback, I said when the Pistons would make it to the NBA Finals that I would be back. As for the game, I felt it was very fitting for the series. The first half was a bit more bad offense than extraordinary defense but it was still fun to watch in the second half. Every possesion mattered and that is the way it should be for a series clincher. I also found it very fitting that Artest slightly blew up and committed the flagrant, which clearly influenced the rest of the game. Also, I enjoyed watching the defensive MVP chase Hamilton while on the other end the real defensive MVP was grabbing boards and making people miss. Hamilton was amazing. With this series he basically took over the "favorite Piston" from Ben Wallace as everybody suddenly adores him completely. I can't argue, he is on his way to being an elite player with great offense and a solid and improving defense. Tayshaun came up big again, that was a nice block and a nice shot at the end. Brown came down on him at half time and Prince responded. Good win and best of luck to the Pacers. Onward to the Lakers. ....Oh, on another note, why are the Pacers always referred to as a team of "youth," the Pistons aren't exactly old either. Our whole core is young and has plenty left in them. I know that they are talking about experience in the playoffs also but still, I don't like it.
Basketball is a thinking game.I dont think Ron Artest thinksa when he plays, first off he flgrant fouled Rip wich led to 4 points in one a posession, than the Pacers had the ball with about 15 seconds left and they are down by three what does Artest do,he jacjs up a really long range three. Props to Detroit, they came back and won and they really deserved it.Rip played like an all star through out this series and he kept the Pistons in the game when they were trailing.I think Rip will hold his own when it comes time to play the Lakers. I think it was good defense not bad offense in this series by both teams, these games were really low scoring because of this. But you know what they say defense wins chapionships.
Ahem...I called that Detroit would win the series (over Indiana) in 6 before the series started. Also I predicted the Final score would be: Detroit:70 - Indiana:65 ....So i was REALLY CLOSE!!!....
The Lakers vs. Pistons final will have some interesting matchups. Karl Malone and Gary Payton will be giving it absolutely everything they've got. Rasheed Wallace is probably the happiest man in the world right now, he was in Portland going nowhere, then ended up in Atlanta. He was then traded to Detroit, and is now off to the NBA Finals. If Rip Hamilton can keep scoring 20+, and Ben Wallace can control the boards, we should be in for a great series. The Lakers will have the homecourt advantage, which will mean the Pistons will have to win at least one on the road, which will not be easy. No team has done it once in the playoffs so far. The Pistons should have a great future as well, they've got Darko sitting on the bench waiting for his time, and when the time comes he should be ready.
Im glad that Detriot made it in the finals, it's their first time. But Lakers gonna win them! Im guessin that their gonna win all four in a row!!

Congratulations for the Detroit Pistons as their season is still alive and I'm happy that the Bad Boys are back. I think they have a really good chance against the Lakers, and might actually win in 7 games. They just have to put guys like Hamilton, Prince, and Ben Wallace on Kobe or Shaq to maximize their defense. Anyways, it was still a great game. Even though it was a very low scoring game, both of the defenses came up great but Indiana wasn't putting their shots in at the end of the game. So I wish all the Detroit fans good luck, as this will be their toughest opponents this year.
Congrats to the Detroit Pistons....i really enjoyed this series....a series that before it started i was writing off as the worst matchup EVER! i quickly took back that statement....though each teams scoring droughts were hard to watch even for the biggest defense enthusiast...im proud of this team....a team that i had absolutely NO opinion of before this series...and they come out of it being a team i will DEFINETLY watch next season Rip Hamilton what can you say...the MVP of the series...solid every night...came to play every night...im not surprised as his performance i use to watch him play at UCONN he use to light the teams up all the time...im just super happy for him cuz he's finally getting the recognition he deserves Rip might of been the MVP of the series...but Tayshaun was the defensive MVP...came up huge on more than one occassion....Larry Brown totally crushed him at halftime...embarrased him...and he came out of halftime strong...he hit on 2 or his first 3 possessions....showing Coach Brown im not scared to shoot it...came up with the HUGE block..with under 5 mins to go....came up with the HUGE shot to put us back up by four i believe...and then came up with the HUGE assist finding Benny Wallace WIDE open under the basket....im proud of him It was ugly basketball....but i think it'll be a classic GO PISTONS!! BEAT LA BEAT LA BEAT LA!!!
Alot of people, including presenters wrote off the pistons when they were against Indiana. Even a few in the NJN series. But they were proved wrong so let's see what happens... GO PISTONS!
i remeber last year Ben tried so hard to make it to the finals. And i think Barkley predicted his arival this year by saying something like the person that works the hardest the year b4 is usually awarded the nest year. All in all go head Big Ben blow out the fro and win that gold thing. btw i love your sig ice ice bibby.
