Ice said it best, one helluva core. They will be great for many years if they can keep this core together. Dwyane Wade will be an allstar next year, so will Lamar Odom. Caron Butler will return to his rookie season form, Rasual Butler, Udonis Haslem, and Malik Allen will contine their progression. They will be back in the playoffs next year, and I think as contendors to go to the finals.
Do you think Rasual Butler could move to the starting 2 spot ahead of Jones sometime. He's a good defender, has a decent post game and can shoot the rock, his handles and passing skills aren't that good right now and he doesn't get steals even with his length and great defense, but he can block shots, is atheletic and can run the break with the rest of the team. I think he'll be getting at least 22+ minutes next year, I'm hoping he can also improve his game.
Can't wait till they trade either of Brian Grant or Eddie Jones.....one of them has to go...but yeah definitely, they have a young sound group now.
Bring back those guys. That's great and all, but I heard a lot about Rafer Alston getting a good deal and going elsewhere. Shouldn't Alston be a priority to resign, considering he is a very good three point shooter that could come off the bench. I mean I would love to have him on my team, and probably anyone else in this "nucleus".. But Alston was a key player in their run at the end of the season..
